Chicago Airports: O'Hare and Midway

There are two major international airports serving the greater Chicago area. O'Hare International Airport, the fourth busiest airport in the world with more than sixty-six million travellers per year, is located at 10000 West O'Hare Avenue, just nineteen miles north-west of downtown Chicago. Midway International Airport is located at 5600 South Cicero Avenue, just eleven miles south-west of the city's centre. The two airports are serviced by most major domestic airlines and many of the largest international air passenger carriers, offering direct and connecting flights to cities across the country and around the world. Visit ebookers when you're ready to begin your travel planning to get access to some of the most affordable air fares available.

Parking at the Chicago Airports

The $9 rate is offered in the economy lot, which also offers free shuttle service to and from the airport. There are several hotels that offer stay-and-park options near both airports as well as off-site lots that also offer free shuttle service to and from the airports.

Restaurants at Chicago Airports

Midway airport offers a variety of eating places throughout the terminals and in the airport's food court. You'll be able to grab a bite at eateries such as Hudson's Euro Café, Get Snacked, and Manny's Express. At O'Hare, you'll have even more options. You can grab a pretzel at Auntie Anne's, get a cup of java at Berghoff Café, indulge in tasty baked goods at Brioche Doree, or get a healthy smoothie at B-Smooth. If you prefer to nosh before you arrive at the airport, you'll find plenty of diners, cafes, and coffee shops surrounding each of the airports in and around the Chicago suburbs.

Arrival in Las Vegas

McCarran International Airport is remarkably close to Las Vegas, so depending on where visitors are staying in the city it is within easy walking distance. For most flights Las Vegas passengers will be bringing baggage so they will probably need transport between the airport and hotel. They can, therefore, hire a car at McCarran International Airport, take a taxi, bus or use the monorail.

Holidaymakers taking flights to Las Vegas will be visiting one of the greatest gambling and entertainment centres in the United States, if not the world. Not only is the city filled with plush casinos, some of the top entertainers in the world regularly appear at its venues. The Caesars Palace arena has even played host to major sporting events, such as world title fights.

Las Vegas is a city that operates at full throttle 24/7, allowing visitors to hit the slot machines and gaming tables around the clock. The city is a favourite among honeymooners and, in fact, many couples come to get married in its many wedding chapels. One of the most famous of these is the Graceland Wedding Chapel where the ceremony includes Elvis Presley impersonators. A Las Vegas holiday also offers plenty to see. One of the most impressive sights, and well worth a visit, is the 110 storey Stratosphere Tower.
