Houston's Intercontinental Airport, also known as the George Bush Intercontinental Airport, is located at 2800 North Terminal Road, just twenty-one miles north of downtown Houston. The William P. Hobby Airport, Houston's oldest commercial airport, is located at 7800 Airport Boulevard, just twelve miles south-east of downtown Houston. Seventeen domestic and international carriers service the Intercontinental Airport, while the Hobby airport is serviced by AirTrain, American, Delta, jetBlue, and Southwest. Parking at Houston Airports
The Intercontinental Airport offers terminal parking at all of the terminals for a maximum rate of $17 per day. Valet parking is available for $25 per day and SurePark charges $20 per day, but it is a members-only lot. The most economical parking is Ecopark, which charges $6.47 per day plus tax. At Hobby airport, terminal parking is also $17 per day, and valet parking is $25, and the Ecopark option has two lots that charge $9.24 and $5.54 per day plus tax. Several companies offer off-site parking with free shuttle service to the airports, including The Parking Spot at 8707 Airport Boulevard and The Parking Spot 2 at 7601 Airport Boulevard.
Ground Transportation in Houston
SuperShuttle (713-523-8888) offers share-a-ride service to both Houston airports from downtown Houston for roughly $19 to the Hobby airport and $23 to the Intercontinental. Taxis are a popular means of airport transportation, and there are a variety of companies that provide taxi service in the Houston area. Expect to pay roughly $70 to $75 to get to either airport from downtown. Don't forget to take care of your transportation needs in your final destination. Restaurants at Houston Airports
Both airports offer a variety of eateries where you can grab a snack or quick bite before boarding. At Intercontinental, you can choose from Auntie Anne's Pretzels, Camden Food Co., Einstein Bros. Bagels, or Starbucks. The Hobby airport is home to Dunkin Donuts, Euro Café, Peet's Coffee & Tea, and the Grab & Go kiosk in the central lobby.
