Riga to Bucharest Flights

About Riga International Airport

Located on Mazeju 1 in the Marupe district, approximately six miles from the Latvian capital of Riga, Riga International Airport is serviced by about a dozen scheduled airlines, including Finnair, Lot, and Lufthansa. The airport dates back to 1971 and was renovated in 2001. Book your choice of flights from Riga to destinations throughout Europe and beyond through ebookers.

Parking at the Airport

Long-term parking is available in the P2 and P3 parking lots. The P2 lot is about a two-minute walk from the departure terminal, and a day’s parking can be had there for LVL 3. At the slightly more distant P3 lot, parking costs LVL 2.50 per day. Luggage trolleys are available at both lots, and you pay for parking when you retrieve your car upon return from your trip.

Ground Transportation to Riga International Airport

For only LVL 3, you can board the Air Baltic Shuttle at one of several central points in Riga and reach the airport in no more than twenty minutes. The service begins at 4:25 a.m. and ends around midnight. You do not have to be an Air Baltic passenger to use the shuttle, and you can even buy your ticket on board. Public buses and minibuses from the city to the airport are available at prices from LVL 0.45 to 0.70. A private taxi ride from central Riga to Riga International Airport costs between LVL 8 and LVL 10, and the trip takes about fifteen minutes. No matter how you get to the airport, remember that you can save more on a rental car at your destination by booking in advance with ebookers.

Before Your Flight

You have plenty of choices for enjoying a cup of coffee and a quick breakfast before you board your flight from Riga. The airport features five cafes: Costa Coffee, Coffee Nation, Buffet, Lama, and Pascucci. If you want a full meal, choose between T. G. I. Friday’s or Lido, or enjoy a slice of pizza at the Pizza Bar.

Airports in Bucharest, Romania

Bucharest is an old European city that has been given a modern facelift in the past few years. The city is the primary point of entry into Romania and offers visitors a wide array of activities to enjoy. When arranging travel to Bucharest, be sure you're getting the best price by comparing the costs of flights with ebookers. The city of Bucharest has two airports: the Bucharest Baneasa Aurel Vlaicu International Airport, located approximately five miles north of the city, and Henri Coand_ International Airport, located roughly ten miles from the city. If you're flying into Bucharest, you'll arrive at Henri Coand_ International Airport, as Bucharest Baneasa Aurel International Airport no longer handles passenger travel.

Transportation from Bucharest Airports

If you booked a vehicle with ebookers, collect your vehicle from the rental car counter located between the international departures area and the arrivals hall. The underground metro line subway runs routes between the airport and Bucharest frequently, as does the RATB bus line and the Gara de Nord train. Taxi stands are available outside the arrivals area, but it's best to make arrangements for pickups inside the airports because many services overcharge foreign travellers.

Weather in Bucharest

The climate of Bucharest is considered to be transitional with continental and sub-tropical influences. Winter weather is extremely cold and windy, with temperatures sometimes dropping as low as -20°C. Summer temperatures are hot, with night-time lows of around 20°C and highs of up to 40°C. Keep the weather in mind when packing for your trip and planning your travel with ebookers.
