The shower constantly flooded,
The shower constantly flooded, we had to splash about or stand on wet towels. They said they would move but did not. Other guests I spoke to on the 8th floor had the same situation and we were astounded that the rooms were being let. This problem did not happen over night nor do I belive that we were the first people to complain about it. We would not ever stay with Novotel again, the Front Manager was not prepared to rectify the situation. He offered me a dinner for two in their restaurant but I told him we had a meal booked elsewhere and asked for the value of that meal to come off the price paid to which he replied that because we booked through HotelClub he couldnt do that. I nearly came to serious harm after slipping over in the swimming pool of a bathroom. Do not stay there because they are negligent in charging good money for rooms with faulty facilities and its a matter of time before someone breaks their neck slipping over. Maybe then they will be forced to take note.

I had breakfasts, lunches and
I had breakfasts, lunches and dinners in the Hotel, including a late meal to room - they were all consistently poor to mediocre - the best was probably the breakfasts. The hotel could defintely improve in this area. The decor of the room was very nice, however room was much too cluttered with 2 double(queen) beds in it! Would be much better with a table and chair or just a 2nd single rather than 2 dble beds squeezed into the room which left barely any room to move around in! Lack of toiletries (shampoo and shower gel only) in the bathroom was disappointing and cheapened the hotel.

Breakfast quality was poor, cheap
Breakfast quality was poor, cheap cut bacon (I'm a butcher) that was fatty and tasted greasy, no mushrooms,beans that separated from the sauce and no fried egg option.I only eat a cooked breakfast on such occasions so I was disappointed to be presented with what I saw.However the rest of our stay was satisfactory.
