Nice and convenient... had a room
Nice and convenient... had a room facing busy road... trucks and doof doof cars heard every now and then... request a room facing away from the road if you are a light sleeper...

Stayed Easter Weekend. Great location
Stayed Easter Weekend. Great location . Close to trains, market , China Town, and right on Darling Harbour. Friendly staff and good facilities in the Gym and swimming pool. Would stay here again.

I enjoyed my recent stay at the
I enjoyed my recent stay at the Novotel Rockford. My sister , with whom I was staying requested a firmer pillow and this was supplied with no problem. We also requested extra teabags and house keeping supplied these graciously. I liked the way there were apples on the front counter for guests to take as a snack. I was most impressed with the quality and freshness of the breakfast. Thank you!

Two aspects of the service really
Two aspects of the service really let this hotel down during our recent stay. (1) upon check-in we were allocated a room, and given the card/key. Upon going to the room it was already occupied by someone else. Quite poor that their security was compromised by giving us access to their room which contained their possessions. (2) upon check-out there was a queue (which is fine) and to speed things up a staff member was dealing with any "express check out" guests waiting in the quete - but he served the people at the end of the queue first - rather than the guests toward the front of the queue who has been waiting for some time.

We only stayed overnight but it was very pleasant. Although I have ticked average as location others would probably find the location very good but I didn't know that the hotel was surrounded by China Town so we found it a bit difficult to get something to eat other than Chinese. Try the burger from the hotel - best burger I have ever had.

On the first night I experienced
On the first night I experienced considerable noise from a number of adjacent rooms .(probably a group booking) I requested a room change and the hotel staff were very helpful to locate another room.

We stayed on the eighth floor
We stayed on the eighth floor - views were spectacular overlooking the Chinese Garden. Room was spotless and Hotel was central to everything. Well priced. Staff friendly. Off site parking will cost extra but only three minutes walk away. Will stay again.
