Rydges World Square Hotel Sydney invites business and leisure travelers to tastefully appointed rooms and suites, modern facilities, and favorable location in the central business district. Accommodating for earlier check in Was an error with charge for internet but fixed up quickly. Disappointing that shower head was floppy but able to still have a shower

The Hotel is in a good location
The Hotel is in a good location close to the shops in Pitt/George Street and Darling Harbour. The staff were polite and efficent. The Rooms were clean, not much of a view but you shouldn't expect this being in the heart of the CBD. We would definatley stay there again.

The bedside tables both had food
The bedside tables both had food and drink on the surface so I was unable to place any of my belongings there. ie phone, book etc. I thought I can put up with this one night and it will be cleaned in the morning but they were not touched again!! ICK!!

fantastic front desk service
Front desk informed us that the hot water in our bathroom didn't work. They compensated us with free breakfast option. Also they let us use different room to shower. It's a little inconvenient but the front desk staff was very friendly and did a great job to make up the inconvenience. Hot water came back next morning. We stayed for one night only.

We loved the Rydges!!
We got the Executive room: it came with canapes & drinks in the evening & a breakfast each AM. OMG were the canapes ever good! So much to choose from, most were hot, most had an Asian flair; full bar. We both loved the Aussie wine, Hiraji's Spell. They had a bourbon called Slate that was so good I took a bottle home from DF. Mornings they had toast, sb eggs, croissants,yogourt fruit etc. There is an espresso machine for espresso and capps. Be sure to get the dinner special for $25 with free flow wine & beer. Excellent food. Oh,yes, Dream Beds in the exec rooms. We will stay there again. Location was very good, right on Metro & George St. Easy to get to Circular Quay & other sights. The Aussies are very friendly people & this staff was, too.

Get the $17 AUD Daytripper Pass, which allows unlimited travel on the buses, light rail, & ferries in Sydney. You can get anywhere you want to go in the city; be sure to take the ferry to Watson's Bay, if only for the ride - the ride & scenery are incredible!

This hotel was ideal for us for a weekend break. We enjoyed the convenience of the position. Trains and buses were handy and we were able to travel to Brnte for breakfast one morning without any trouble - just a short bus ride. Rooms were a good size, beds king sized and very comfortable. Staff were polite and very helpful with advice. In all a very pleasurablestay. If anything, though, restaurant and bar prices were expensive compared to those in surrounding area. A number of hotel patrons took advantage of these as we did sometimes. We would stay here again and recommend this hotel to those wanting a hotel close to transport at a reasonable rate.

Had a great time. The $25 meal deal was excellent. We will deffinatly return to the Rydges World Square next time in Sydney.

Convenient location
Not bad for the price. The room was comfortable - nothing over the top, but good enough to sleep in which is pretty much the only thing we did in the hotel while in Sydney :) The best thing was the location - right in Darling Harbour - very close to many tourist attractions in the Harbour and great restaurants in China Town. One block (probably even less) walk to get to the CityRail station.

Golden Century (Chinese) and Yumei (Japanese) were both nearby the hotel and excellent places to eat if you like Asian food (and within budget)! Not too expensive and the food was great.
