Cairns Luxury Apartments

Stayed in the harbor view studio apartment. Great view of the harbor. Room was clean and a perfect size for two. Had a toaster, refrigerator, and some kitchen stuff so we were able to have breakfast in our room. Room was cleaned every 3 days but there were plenty of towels to go that long. For $155/night it's a great deal. Only down side was you had to buy internet use and it would only work if we were on the balcony.

Cairns is simply the best place I've ever been. The location of the hotel is perfect and we were able to walk everywhere-malls, unlimited restaurants and tourist shops. The Pier has lots of indoor/outdoor restraunts right on the water and the Night Market is a lively place with food, shopping, and incredible cheap massages. My only complaints were the hotel standards are different from the U.S. Cairns Luxury Apartments are rated a 5 star but really are equivalent to a 3 1/2 star in the States; the view is still amazing and the room was nice, but definately not a 5 star. I'm guessing this goes for hotels throughout Australia. Also, the food in general is terrible (and very expensive). The average entree ranges from $20-$30; steak and seafood is more. The variety of good beer (and coffee) is also limited. For tours I would recommend booking a 4 part tour through FNQ travel. We were able to do two rainforest tours, diving and snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef, and river rafting on the Tully River (absolutely amazing). It is a perfect combination of activities for a reasonable price. The Cairns Night Zoo was a big disappointment; it was nice to see koalas and other animals up close and feed kangaroos, but most of the "cool" animals (cassowaries for example) are not nocturnal so we weren't able to see them. It is overpriced for what you actually get.

they need to upgrade the tv.............tiny tv located high up!!!!!!!!! more like one u would have in a small caravan

Wonderful accomodation, we had a harbour view studio apartment and what a splendid view! We will definitely book this accomodation when we come back to Cairns.

Great room which was very spacious. View of the harbour was excellent from our room. Apartments are close to restuarants and shops. Looking forward to staying here again when in Cairns.

[...] After checking in at the visitor center we found out it is just basically a hotel room, a very small hotel room. My husband became quite loud and obstinate and we were offered an upgrade to a 1 bedroom, first at an additional charge and eventually at no extra cost. We enjoyed our stay in Cairns very much even though it was the monsoon season and rained almost daily. Snorkling the great barrier reef is amazing and the sky ride over the rainforest a must-do. It was a grand finale to our 6 week visit to Australia and New Zealand.

Our experience was fantastic!! The hotel room was directly on the water front. The pier was in walking distance from our hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel. The rooms were nice and also had a washer & dryer and a full kitchen

We checked in the day before TC Yasi, the service receivced from Ivana at check in was fantastic and the service by the on site manager Lisa was wonderful. She checked on us many times before & after the event & even moved us to another room closer to hers as the cyclone appoached. The rooms were lovely and we were very safe & secure during the cyclone. I would highly recommend this hotel, not only for the location, but for the efficent and friendly staff.

We booked a Studio room. There we NO chairs in the room and the closet was only about 1 1/2 feet wide. When the 2 patio chairs were brought into the room it was too crowded. Fortunately the apt mamager readily changed us to a 1 BR apt at no extra charge which was great. No problem thereafer. So do NOT book a studio. [...]
