Bayview On The Park Melbourne

Enjoyed our short stay at the hotel,the location for us was great,the room was great and we had a nice view. The room was clean and the parking was good as well.

Very disappointed and wouldn't recommend this hotel. Tram service was a 5 min walk away in street behind (no good for elderly or disabled). Reception staff were slow - we waited 10 mins to check in (there was ONE couple before us). The phone rang while we were waiting and someone came out from the office behind to answer it after the guy called to him. Why he couldn't he have come and checked us in I don't know. We had 2 nights there, the first night in a standard room (awful), the second in a premier room - much better, lovely view of the park. We arrived on a Sunday and there had been a storm the day before. The hotel must have received water damage, because the hallway carpets were wet, but nothing was done about it for over 2 days (we saw one blower in the hallway on the Tuesday). No deodorisers to try to eliminate the disgusting smell, nor a note from the hotel saying they were doing something about it. Breakfast was average but the hot food was not very hot, nor was the coffee.

Exceptional value for money and easy to find with free parking on site. Room was ideal - nothing fancy but spotlessly clean and comfortable. Staff were all helpful and friendly.

The rooms are looking a little tired but otherwise adequate.

Have stayed here a few times before but now feel it is a little 'tired' - frayed carpets, chipped walls etc. The instructions for the a/c in our room didn't help so we couldn't operate it, not good after a hot day. However, the staff fixed that for us on request the next morning. Our desk lamp didn't work either. We enjoyed the pool but the spa was also broken. Had to wait for nearly 10 mins at the bar to get a drink at lunchtime on the Saturday.

It's an old hotel, and every time I visit, it shows its age more -- leaky taps, no electrical outlets, cramped rooms, worn/torn carpet. But it's convenient, and it must be the only hotel within 50Km of Melbourne which doesn't charge for resident parking!

facility needs freshening up with painting to be done but could not fault the rooms for cleanliness and good value in the pricing.

Very pleasant. The staff made it a great place to stay.

I woud reccomend this hotel to anyone from newly weds to corporate . Fabulous!! ....and the staff are so friendly! Great location; great everything... and the rooms are very spacious. I will definitely be going back.

One serious complaint - we arrived late on Friday evening and were disturbed by someone opening our door fully and then closing it at 5.00 am Saturday morning. Obviously it was staff (who else would have access ?????) there was no apology then, and on reporting it to the Manager, there seemed both a lack of concern & a disinterest in follow up... & the offer of a return stay. Missed was the opportunity to provide awesome customer service.
