Holiday Inn Melbourne on Flinders is a truly friendly and personal boutique-style hotel perfectly located in the financial hub of Melbourne. Congress

Convenient for the congress venue - about 10 mins. Good shops nearby for daily supplies. Limited in-house dinning but expensive compared to international standards and less value. Breakfast is too expensive for what you get. Better to go out for dinner – on the south bank which is only 10 mins away maximum. Comfortable room and clean; would stay there again.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

Walk along the south bank towards the parks - eat ice cream and enjoy the city sykline any time of the day and people watch. Great.

Excellent location. Stayed in

Excellent location. Stayed in superior twin room, bedding etc excellent. Bathroom whilst clean was probably in need of upgrade. Outdoor pool area could also do with a makeover. But overall it was a very enjoyable stay. Customer service was excellent. Would definately stay again.

The service was excellent at check-in

The service was excellent at check-in and check-out and we were attended to very quickly. The bathroom was very dated and could do with upgrade which is why I would not call it a four star. For shopping purposes it is easier to stay closer to Bourke Street. On Sunday went to Sirocco at about 5pm as we were looking for a coffee and cake before we went to a show (Wicked) and we wanted to have dinner after it. Apparently they couldn't accommodate us, a little surprised since most restaurants offer dessert and coffee after dinner one would presume.
