History lives at Melbourne’s Grand Victorian hotel
Built in 1883, the Hotel Windsor Melbourne is considered Melbourne's original Grand Victorian hotel. Today, the property is the city's only 5-star Victorian hotel, combining historic elegance with modern comfort. Within walking distance of the Parliament House and Rod Laver Arena, the hotel boasts spacious and bright rooms equipped with period furniture with high-tech conveniences. The all-day restaurant, 111 Spring Street, offers a pre-theater menu. The property also serves traditional afternoon tea.

Although the Traditional rooms
Although the Traditional rooms are quite small, they are very warm and comfortable. The bathroom is attractive, up to date and clean. Location is second to none. The staff are extremely efficient, professional, friendly and polite. The restaurant and high tea makes the entire stay a memorable one.

Thw Windsor Hotel seemed a little
Thw Windsor Hotel seemed a little "tired" when last we stayed there. What used to be the Grande Dame of Melbourne Hotels feels a little geriatric and is need of a good makeover. Mind you - high tea is still a fabulous experience in a marvellous dining room - a great Australian luxury!

週末のアフタヌーンティーを目当てに宿泊しました。 期待以上の素敵な時間と空間で、心もおなかも大満足。 お部屋は設備は古いので、たてつけが悪かったりするが老舗だと理解して宿泊すれば問題はないとおもう。 コンシェルジュの方々が兎に角親切だった。 場所も中心でごちゃごちゃしてるところから少ししか離れていないのに、目の前が議事堂だったり、緑のおおい、回りにオシャレなお店が沢山ある、目の前にフリートラムが止まるとても便利な立地でした。
