Have the falls to yourself

Very luxurious hotel with an amazing breakfast buffet. Wonderful access to Brazillian side of the falls with no tourists around early in the morning. Lovely pool although the constant helicopters overhead doing flights over the falls are a real irritant and hardly environmentally friendly or in keeping with the national parks ecological status. It's a shame we humans always seem to take tourism a step too far!

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

The lunch restaurant a short walk from the hotel on the Brazil side offered a good value lunch alternative. Albeit lunch around the pool at the hotel was superb if not pricey.

Perfect!

Simply perfect. Worth every penny from the hefty bill. Important to know is that as the Hotel is inside the park, you stay at the Cataracts after evreybody left. I walked the trails by myself early in the morning and late in the afternoon when there were no other tourists, except for Hotel guests, in the park. Amazing experience to have this magnificent scenery exclusively for yourself. No need to elbow other tourists to get a nice picture.

Gorgeous hotel

Loved the hotel, 5 star service, great food, but pricey. Spanish villa style, very classy very beautiful. It was great to have access to the falls after all the other tourists left. Well worth the money. There was an amazing guitar player during dinner at the pool.... Totally made our night.

It's going to rain, so be prepared with a rain coat, shoes etc. also, right outside the gates of the park is a great family owned restaurant and shop.... Everything is very reasonable.

The only and excellent hotel in the Brazilian park

Luxury and elegant hotel, the only hotel in the Brazilian park along the falls. Quiet, beautiful, lovely heated outside pool. Dining limited to eating at the hotel at night, but for a few days visit it is enjoyable. Excellent and multi-lingual staff too. Easy to organize walks, boat rides, trips to the Argentine side of the falls --spend at least two full days and also enjoy the hotel.

The Iguassu Falls are a hundred yards from the hotel..you can see them from the front of the hotel and an easy walk to the trails on the Brazilian side of the park.

Perfection

The hotel is located within the park, so there are moments of encountering wildlife that wouldn´t occur anywhere else. Every morning a family of coati mundis would visit the hotel breakfast area. And what a breakfast! We visited the falls several times a day, ran on the park roads, enjoyed the hotel´s many amenities. Ideal vacation spot.Well trained, multi-lingual staff, gorgeous rooms, perfectly delightful expereince.

best place to stay to see the waterfalls

the location is perfectly fitting the great scene of nature; the style of the hotel is giving you cosiness and perfect vacation feelings; the staff is overwhelming friendly and day and night welcoming helpful and attentive; two points important to omprove: the open fire place is stinking terrible, but just because the fire is lit up with kerosine or similar stuff - staff is supposed to learn how naturally a fire is lit up!!!!! the dinner time starting at 07:30 pm of course is a tribute to the Brasilian culture, however for someone who is used to have dinner earlier flexible ( earlier) dinner times would comfort the guest a lot!!! Overall the best place to stay, either short or extended stay worthwhile spending a bit more

Fabulous!

This hotel goes above and beyond on good taste and luxury. It is worth every penny. It is the only hotel inside the national park, so you can wander freely around after the park closes and avoid crowds. You can dine on the veranda with a few of the waterfalls. The hotel has been impeccably renovated true to its historic finishings. The staff is very professional and the two restaurants are excellent. I can not say enough good things about my stay at this hotel. I can't wait to go back!

I would not waste the time to dine outside the hotel, which means leaving the park. The hotel restaurants are incredible and the scene can not be beat!
