Good coffee, good food, lovely staff. Only negative point would be that the hotel shop is not open on weekends, obviously people don't travel on weekends.... Otherwise very happy.

The hotel occupies an attractive, modern building. Its public spaces are well designed and decorated. The hotel is well maintained and kept clean. Sleeping rooms were well appointed, attractively decorated and kept very clean. The hotel staff spoke English well. They were knowledgeable, helpful, courteous and pleasant. In fact, they were always eager to answer questions and provide assistance. The only negative for me, as an ex- and anti-smoker, was that smoking was allowed in a part of the restaurant and throughout the bar, which opens onto the lobby. Since cigarette smoke is ubiquitous in Sofia, the hotel was a haven (as was the shopping mall behind and near the hotel) where I could escape it. Smoking drove me out of the restaurant a couple of times and out the bar when I stopped by for a late afternoon lunch. My reason for rating the restaurant service as average is that the hotel has only one restaurant. I'm rating the options, not the quality of the food, which I'd rate as very good to excellent. Aside from its smoking policy, I'd recommend the hotel without reservation.

We stayed at Hilton Sofia as part of a group of 11 persons, excellent hotel, rooms superb, only criticism would be that bar prices were very high compared to the rest of Sofia. Also if you are booking a Triple room and require single beds please ensure you specify this on your booking.
