Disappointed
We arrived Friday @ 2p.m. and were given room 2429,it was small, run down, beat up and dumpy!I was shocked!!!!! My husband and I as long as our family have stayed at the Delta Chelsea @ least 5 times and have never had such a disgraceful room.We called the front desk and were told in the past we booked a deluxe room????? I said we'd like a different room this was not acceptable, they did switch our room which was better! [...] It was still pricey per night+ parking + taxes!Dissappointed Lisa

From the moment we arrived, from check-in, conceirge, staff, restaurants, bed, pillows, facilities to check out the place was first rate. Will go back and try other Delta locations. Only drawback, slight really, was the boarded balcony doors with the soda covered windows and the refuse on the balcony. Great place and location.

Delta Chelsea gives
We spent much of our visit walking through as many different parts of the city on the way to events and sight seeing. That was really the best way to get to know Toronto and the folks that live there. Good city, good (helpful) people

Stay Here When in Toronto
Everything was clearly labeled and we never had a problem getting a question answered or finding anything. Quiet, clean rooms at reasonable rate and very accessible to everything we needed. I would stay here again.

Long walk from hotel
The Hockey Hall of Fame is very impressive, with cathedral ceilings and stained glass, as well a quiet area where an antique radio plays the broadcast from a Bobby Orr game. Much to see, and definitely do the virtual reality and puck-blocking goalie game where real pucks come shooting out (speed varies with skill level). If you use the subway, make sure you don't go in the out turnsile---We walked it twice--a 20 minute walk--not bad if the weather is accommodating. Be sure to go to the Canadiens' dressing room and record your own broadcast. You can take your own picture with the Stanley cup.

outdated, but great location
We were right in the middle of all the action! We walked to the university district, Eaton center, comedy club and restaurants. The room was outdated, but the lobby was fun (and open late for drinks!).

Long walk from hotel
We went to Yuk Yuks for a comedy show. Very funny (uncensored...no children)! Only $12 per person for 2 hours of non-stop comedy. Guess the quality depends on who is performing that night, but it was worth the bet!

Broke and Frazzled
Noise Surprise
My husband and I had been eagerly looking forward to our trip to Toronto and our stay at the Delta Chelsea, so we were very disappointed to learn, after our first night at the hotel, that our room placed us right next to an early-morning construction site that made restful sleep virtually impossible. The wailing sirens outside our window didn't help matters at all, and neither did the tininess of the room, which we expected to be more spacious than it was. To make matters worse, the hotel didn't have Wi-fi, so we had to use our cell phone provider's international data plan to access the Internet to help us navigate travel around and outside the city, which ended up costing us additional money we hadn't expected. Because our room didn't have a fridge and microwave, we couldn't save the leftovers from the generous portions of food we were served (many of which were at a hefty price) at restaurants we patronized to eat later, which also cost us money on top of being wasteful. Overall, we were very disappointed with our hotel room and the amenities the hotel provided. My husband and I would definitely think twice before staying at another Delta Chelsea Hotel or recommending it to friends.

Unless you plan to do a LOT of traveling and exploring outside Toronto, I would not recommend including car rental in your travel package (i.e. I would only do airfare and hotel). Because of Toronto's superb subway and streetcar transit systems, a visitor can get to just about anywhere in the city at a minimal cost, especially relative to the costs that come with renting a car, which, for my husband's and my visit, included a $27/day parking cost for the car as well as a $31/day insurance for the car. Over our four-day stay, both of those expenses ended up costing us about $250 on top of our expected food and entertainment costs, which we would have happily (and gratefully) avoided, had we known about them when we planned our trip.

Unbeatable location for the price.

Excellent central location
First trip to Toronto. Delta Chelsea made every thing very easy. Superb location, central, only 5 min walk from Eaton Centre, Hop on Hop Off bus stop at back door. Excellant. All the staff from reception to dining room polite helpful and friendly. Room excellant, clean and cleaned daily. Bathroom very clean but could do with a spruce up. Only one disappointment and that was the family pool, lets say that the picture makes it look much larger than it actually was, unable to really swim more it was there for the flume. It also got very busy at times making it less attractive. Generally an excellant location and hotel with very friendly helpful staff.

Great room, great service, great stay
From the moment I arrived to the moment I left, the staff at the hotel worked to make my stay absolutely hassle free - whether they were cleaning the room or delivering room service. The hotel also hosted the Wedding I was in Toronto to attend and did a fabulous job with the handling of the logistics. Couldn't have asked for anything else (well apart from Wireless internet in my room :])
