Windsor trip Dec 2012

Three reasons why I would never return to this location. 1 - the fan speed in the room regardless of the setting that I chose was always on high. 2- the internet service provided was very poor 3- rooms need to be upgraded, bathroom is way too small compared to other chains.

Knows what it is

Holiday Inn Windsor is a no frills hotel with good customer service. I picked the hotel because it was near the Detroit-Windsor tunnel and I was headed to a Tigers game, Staff was very knowledgeable about the bus service and how/where to direct you. Full service restaurant that was open until midnight and opened at 7 am. Room was clean but nothing about the hotel is extraordinary.

My Windsor trip

The hotel is right in the heart of downtown Windsor which is most convenient because it's close to Uof W campus where my son attends school. I liked that I was given time in my room and not rushed by housekeeping. The staff where friendly, helpful and put me at ease. Room service was great and food was excellent at a good price. I will definitely come back for my next trip. Thanks for everything. Michelle of Washington DC

Great Location, but very noisy

My friends and I (ages between 19-22) went to the bars, casino, and clubs. We had a great time. This was my 5th trip to Windsor. I have stayed twice at the Holiday Inn and I honestly don't think I will ever stay there again. I have also stayed at the Quality Suites and Caesars. Quality Suites is little more in price but certainly worth it. It's not far from the Holiday Inn but it is must quieter and nicer, well worth the price. Caesars is the best option if you like to gamble but too overpriced. If you're willing to spend a little more money I would recommend Quality Suites over Holiday Inn.

Nightlife tip: Short walk from hotel

Windsor, ON, Canada has a great nightlife for adults between 19-25. The casino is in walking distance as well.

Unbeatable location, unbeatable price!

This was the perfect hotel for a weekend getaway with friends. Amazing location with local bars and nightclubs on the same street. Walking distance to Caesar's Casino and food. The hotel was clean, affordable, fun, and friendly staff. Couldn't ask for anything more!

YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR THEIR PARKING

I was very upset with the fact that we had to pay $30.00 to park our car at the hotel for the weekend.

Could have been better

The rooms were very crammed. The pool water was slimy & the fitness center was nothing special either. I think it was completely over priced for what we type of room we were in as well.

A place to eat and sleep with no worries

I needed a hotel close to the VA in Detroit. So this was closest and I have never been to Canada so why not? The staff is great at the Holiday. Secure paid parking $6.00 us. AS I looked around the area I observed 2 doors down; a tatoo parlor, 3 massage places , tourist shops , eaters and the casino 3 or 4 blocks down from hotel.Shuttle from hotel to casino every 20min. Feb weather in is ugly.I said to myself should I get a tatoo,a massage? Not. If I was to get a tatoo it would say Canada is Ugly. Just kidding. The people I talked with from Can.were great ! The hotel eatery was very good.reccommended by hotel checkin clerk babe. I would stay at this hotel again, again. I was there for aprox.15hrs. Eat,drink, sleep then work. The hotel was clean, somewhat quiet, secure, friendly. rating from 1-5 would be a 3.75 because the staff, food, and overall friendly people to converse with. I travel alot on job and would reccommend this place for business travel, couples but not families because of the surrounding area. Thats the skinny from Timmy.
