Recently renovated four-star hotel under the Petrin look-out tower
Hotel Roma is located in the historic center of Prague in Mala Strana (Lesser Town), directly under one of the main attractions, the famous Petrin lookout tower. The historic building has a distinctive bright yellow facade, and was renovated to four star comfort and convenience in 2003. Guests are welcomed in an impressive lobby which features an aquarium and lobby bar. A complimentary breakfast is served in the hotel's restaurant or out on the garden terrace. Very nice for couples or small families
Pros: very clean, safe/secure, great wi-fi, very nice breakfast, lovely English-speaking staff, HUGE room (ours was a triple) nicely furnished with antiques (and a modern TV!), spacious bathroom with modern fixtures. Convenient location across from tram stop. Neighborhood has interesting shops and restaurants. 10 minute walk to Charles bridge. Overall very good value. Economical shuttle to airport 3x/day. Cons: walls were a little thin - we could hear too-loud folks in the hall.

Grat location!
Hotel was in a awesome spot. Easy walk to all of the local stuff like Charles Bridge. Rite next to a great tram stop. Hotel was clean and staff was fairly helpfull. Will stay here again.

This was a great place to stay.right off the main sites,nice walk to Charles bridge through parks on river.room clean,comfortable.great coffees,big breakfast buffet,quiet safe location.staff very good and nice bar.would stay again.love location.

The hotel was in a great location - within walking distance to many of the sites. Only complaint was the mold growing in the top corner of the bathroom but otherwise a great place to stay.

Fantastic hotel!
We had a few issues on arrival to our hotel. Firstly the bed broke and we were then moved to another room. The room was at the front of the building so you can hear the tram or outside noises night which took a bit of getting used to. We had a few problems with the wireless but they were fixed immediately and it was working without issue after. Hotel Roma is an excellent hotel with facilities you expect from a 5 star hotel. The location is 15 minutes walk from Old Square. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is a buffett and could have better choices.

Great family break
The staff and amenities could not have been better. The price for our week was excellent and represented value for money. The hotel is located to the main Lesser Town square and the karlov bridge and we were only ten minutes from the Old and New Towns.

Fantastic City Break
Hotel was by far one of the best mid-range hotels I have been in. Breakfast buffet had a good variety and coffee was excellent. Room was pretty spacious too and customer service was excellent. The hotel was very conveniently located - while not totally central, it was right in front of a tram stop and was a few minutes walk to Petrin Hill/National Theatre among other attractions. Would definitely book there again!

Restaurants near the hotel are plenty and are pretty good. Try the La Bastille nearby for a more elegeant night out in a gastropub serving good food and beer at reasonable prices.

Nice hotel in a decent location
A nice hotel in a decent location just across the river from the old/city center. Within walking distance of everything if you don't mind walking a little and close to a tram stop if you'd rather catch a ride into the city center. Good value for Prague.
