Great European hotel
Initial 5 day reservation was made on auction site, but after booking saw a lower price here. Had planned to move hotels after the first few days, but decided to stay because of the great location close to the metro. For the 2nd part of our stay, booked a price 40% lower than offered in person and about 25$ less per night than the auction site. The room was small but adequate since we were out most of the time. Met our needs perfectly. Highly recommend including the breakfast! Delicious coffee!

Below average but great location
The standard room was very small and everythnig was old. The bed was not very comfortable, carpet was old. There was not enough room to move around freely. No coffee maker in the room, telephone charges were too high even for local calls. I will not stay in that hotel again.

Good base for a city experience
The hotel is a 5 min walk from the metro (once you figure out the route), close to the Harbor and city highlights, but tucked away on a street with little traffic. Perfect, the breakfasts are fantastic. The staff and ambiance are friendly and warm. Also unlike some hotels, the wifi actually works everytime.

Great Just As It Is
When traveling abroad, we avoid the modern westernized hotels and look for those that reflect the local culture. This hotel fits that bill perfectly. The first night we saw no other Americans staying there, though that was not the case the night before a cruise sailing. The location is ideal for exploring Copenhagen's old city. Most sites are within a 10 minute walk, including Tivoli Gardens, Strøget shopping area, and Amalienborg Palace. Three blocks away is Nyhavn with its many outdoor restaurants. The rooms are small but comfortable and clean, furnished with older European style furniture. The staff is extremely helpful and the breakfast is excellent. The only downside is that there is barely enough room for eating when the hotel is full. We enjoyed the stay so much that we booked some relatives into this hotel for a later stay. It is perfect for enjoying a few days in Copenhagen before departing on a cruise.

No Frills, but Great Size
The room size was very small and the furnishings were dated. There were some very good aspects, though: awesome location (next to Nyhavn Harbor and walking distance to downtown & Christiana). The free wireless service works amazingly well and the staff is incredibly kind and helpful.

Try the Retour restaurant (next door), it was a finalist for best new resaturant in Copenhaven. Also, check out the Beck's Bistro, around the corner. It's reasonably priced and excellent.

Great location and wonderful breakfast
This hotel is easy to reach by subway from the airport and is ideally located to explore the city by foot, bus or boat. The breakfast is very full of Danish specialties and will get anyone through to a late lunch. The room was small but comfortable. I would probably upgrade on my next visit. Staff was helpful with suggestions.

Great location!
This was certainly a great buy for the money. The location was close to the Harbor, shopping, the metro and within walking distance to many sites in Copenhagen. The breakfast buffet was abundant and the dining area was quite lovely. I was a little surprised by the small rooms but they were very clean and comfortable. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to tour the city on a budget.
