Sleek and chic Danish design on the city square
Airy open spaces and plenty of light fill The Square Hotel Copenhagen, set on the hopping City Hall Square, the "Radhuspladsen." Appealingly urban top to bottom, the white lobby invites conversation in square furniture punctuated by a Copenhagen icon: egg chairs in lipstick red. Wander off to museums, the harbor, the pedestrian shopping street, jazz cafes or the famous Tivoli, all nearby. Opt for a buffet breakfast on the sixth floor overlooking the roofs of the city (fees apply), then step outside to catch a bus to the zoo or a train to Sweden.

Very nice hotel in a great location

Location is super, just a couple blocks from Tivoli, shopping district, train station. Lots of nearby restaurants. Rooms are spotless, comfortable, and quiet. Free Internet service (they'll even lend you a cable - no wireless except in the lobby). Very nice breakfast on the 6th floor was included. An excellent value in an expensive city.

Excellent central location

Decent 1 night stay

We spent one night in Copenhagen on our way to Stockhom so I was looking for a hotel close to Central Station and also a few tourist destinations. The hotel is right by City Hall, our room did not face the city hall square so it wasn't too noisy. The Square is right by Tivoli and a pedestrian shopping street (Stogel?) The bed was really soft and unsupportive, but other than that it was a sufficient room. Seemed clean. Our room was not available at noon upon arrival(we were not alone, the staff lock up your baggage for you in the front lobby, and there was tons of it everywhere!) We were told to come back at 3 and it was all set.Upon check in we were given an "upgrade" to a deluxe room for free, she said it was bigger than what we paid for. The room was really small and had very little space for luggage so I can't imagine the closet a regular room must be! Secure lobby, needing room key to access all floors via stairs and elevator. They also had no problem keeping our luggage until 3 the next day after check out. Staff wasn't super friendly, but were efficient and had no problems with them. But, for the price we paid I would say go for it if the location works for you.

good location

Perfect location but there is a construction going on at the moment on the building just next to the hotel and if you plan to wake up late then you might get disappointed because of the noise once the workers starts working. I booked for 2 rooms and tried to request for a late extended for just an hour but repeatedly denied due to full booking for that day.

EXCEL LOCATION, FRIENDLY STAFF&NICE ROOM

ITS RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE SQUARE, WALKING DISTANCE TO THE STROGET CENTRE, VERY NEAR TO THE TRAIN STATION, AND LOTS AND LOTS OF RESTAURANT AROUND, THE VISITOR CENTER IS AROUND THE CORNER. MAKE SURE NOT TO EAT AT THE INDIAN RESTAURANT NEXT TO THE HOTEL, FOOD IS NOT THAT GREAT AND WATCH OUT FOR YOUR BILL FOR CHARGES. MAKE SURE TO GET THE 48HRS HOP ON HOP OFF BOAT, ITS REALLY VERY CONVENIENT TO GO AROUND.

Convenient Location

Breakfast reasonably priced but food was comparable to Holiday Inn, nothing special. There is a coffee house next door which provided a convenient alternative. Walking distance to most of Copenhagen's tourist attractions. Soundproofing is not good as you can easily hear the street noise even from the 5th floor.

Perfect position to see copenhagen

The hotel staff bent over backwards to assist us. We got in early and they accomodated us ASAP. The room was excellent from uropean standards and very danish. It was perfectly located near everything. there was a MacDonalds and good food nearby. This city is expensive and this hotel served a great breakfast as part of the room rate.. we highly recommend this hotel

dining in Copenhagen is very expensive. A big Mac is $10. This hotel is very close to many choices. and a Hop on hop off buss. Great experience!

Good price, perfect location

Perfect location in City centre, good price for good standard. Ideally Ask for a room on 5th floor away from the lift. First we got a tiny room on 2nd floor which had a building site outside the window. not very good but then we moved to 5th which was perfect.
