Tivoli Hotel Copenhagen

Stayed only one night before our departure. We did receive FREE tickets to Tivoli only after mentioning online stated so... WE think all visitors should get free tickets to Tivoli; which is a very fun place for all ages. The Tivoli Hotel is nicely themed, not over the top, it's a very comfortable and very clean hotel, with a great bonus of VERY friendly staff. The breakfast buffet provides anything your palate desires. Tusind Tak - Thank you!!!

We stayed at the Tivoli Hotel one night to be close to Tivoli and the airport for our departure the next day. Chose this a little pricey hotel expecting Tivoli Tickets to be included as noted in other reviews; which the clerk finally gave to us stating "that was last year" - Well we think it would be a really great perk to provide free Tivoli admission tickets to all guests. Tivoli is for kids of all ages... :-) We sincerely enjoyed our one night stay, the Tivoli Hotel staff was outstanding, friendly and very accommodating. The breakfast buffet was incredible and a great start to another beautiful day... Tusind Tak!!! Thank you!!!

The hotel location and room is so so. Thel restaurant is quite good. Room is clean. Safe.

The rooms are very small, but clean in this mega-hotel. We reserved a triple room and a child roll-in. But, the room turned out to be too small to put in the roll-in. The hotel "upgraded" us to a quad for an extra $35/night. But, when the double sofa bed was opened, there was barely any space left for suitcases, etc. If you are claustrophobic, be prepared. The breakfast buffet is great, but expensive (about $30/person). Make sure that it is included in the room, or else eat in town, or be prepared for a big bill on check-out. Location is not great, about 15-20 min walk to Tivoli and central city. The room includes free entry passes to Tivoli. There is a shopping mall about 5-6 min from the hotel, but in the opposite direction from the city center. There is a Hop-on/Hop-off tour boat stop at the shopping mall. We found this to be a great and easy way to get around Copenhagen.

Warm reception! Got three tickets to Tivoli Garden for family on reception! Parking is easy and directly leads to hotel. Facility is great! Kids enjoyed the pool and playing room! Location is not too close to city center but is quiet at night! Recommended!

Nice hotel, but far from all shopping, dining, and tourist activities. You either must walk a MINIMUM of 15 minutes or take a cab. Thus, you end up eating at least one meal at the hotel. The hotel restaurant is mediocre, but the sushi restaurant on the roof is great. Make reservations in advance or put yourself on the waiting list as soon as you check into the hotel.

This modern hotel has a friendly staff and our room was clean, but relatively small. The price was reasonable and the extras, free admission and a shuttle bus to and from Tivoli Gardens, made it a great value for us. Free Wireless Internet access was also a plus. We didn't get to take advantage of the free breakfast due to an early flight, but it was a perfect choice for our one-night stay after our cruise ended.

Tivoli Hotel isn't a bad place to stay by any means but, it fell below my expectations. The room size is okay (for a family room) but the hotel terms itself as a green hotel; what this means is, they never clean the bath or shower and provide no sponges or other means of doing so yourself. All that's done daily is tidying of the bed and emptying of the bins... poor. In terms of children's facilities it's excellent, a playroom, swimming pool, small outdoor play centre, occasional bouncy castle and a daily treasure hunt.. plenty to occupy the kids when you're back at the hotel. Breakfast was expensive though... £51 for two adults, a 6 and a 4 year old! Food was okay but not worth that price. Location is okay, it's about 10 minute walk from Tivoli and between two s-train stations. Staff were satisfactory. I found one lady at reception to be particularly rude, I waited in line and rather than dealing with me after she'd finished she dealt with two other people who just walked over, people that called on the phone or other customers... terrible service and no apology. Additionally the phone in my room did not work, when I asked about it being fixed (at 6pm) I was told the technician had gone home. The next day I enquired, was told that someone would come up.. nobody did... and I'd gotten sick of trying to get the phone issue resolved.

We had a weekend away, last minute booking, we were pleasantly surprised the hotel was clean, the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the room was quiet. The facilities were reasonable, the restaurant especially the buffet menu was very appetising, the free Carlsberg was an added bonus. The shuttle bus to Tivoli gardens and free entry ticket were very welcomed. Overall no complaints whatsoever and despite weather we had a great weekend!

A very good service at this hotel, staff is helpful and goes the extra mile without even asking for it. Location is good, 10 minutes walk from the downtown area. If you have kids it is definitely a good choice since they have the "Tivoli gardens" theme. In fact during the summer months there are plenty of kids in the hotel, but they are very well behaved and cute. :) Didn't hear one crying the whole 4 days stay.
