great facility
The facility was great. The beach is beautiful. The restaurants are good. The buffet (used only at breakfast) is adequate. [...] at guest services, [...] ( a waiter), the man on beach who got beach chairs for us each day and all others were very friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed the jeep safari that was set up by Orlando at the resort. [...] (photographer) and [...] (guide) were friendly and a lot of fun.

Not So Bad for the Price
The hotel need to be remodel all rooms, pool, dinning, bars, GYM, etc. The beach is nice like any other beaches, nothing special about this one. For the price is very good but for a litter more will prefer to go to Bavaro at Punta Cana for beater Hotels and Beach.

Unbeatable location for the price.
When we got there at 2:00 PM on saturday is the worse time because the check-in time begings at 3:00 and everybody is there at the same time specialy weekend but they do what they can to help you. The resort is for family. they have childrens shows at night time and then for the adults. If you're a couple looking for a quiet festful vacation, family places are not the best. The resot was great for us because like a family we like to play like children and overthere you are allow to do it. Very friendly staff nice vacation.

my mothers daughter
the ramp
its really a nice place for rest and relaxation...even though the hotel is 90% the ramp from leading from my room was to steep and my mother still needed to by accompanied when she left the room...they really need to address that issue...and the housekeepers did horrible jobs in cleaning the rooms...either get more staff or find a staff that can handle a hotel that large...

I would definitely NOT recommend...
Check in was a mess, I felt like if I was at a public market where I had to yell and push to get attention. I understand that I came on a Saturday and it was filled with locals who come for a one-night weekend, but it was crazy. The food was not good and there was no service (waiters) in the buffet restaurant, I mean the place was full and only a few waiters who looked the other way when you called them or took your order and never came back. I had to get my own drinks (water, juice and coffee), no napkins on the table, we were a family of 6 and had to share one cloth napkin on one occassion. We had two rooms, the rooms were nice and spacious with two queen size beds in each room, but there were no toiletries in the bathroom. I had to give a tip to the cleaning lady to get some, and next time i asked she said they were out. In one of the rooms the A/C was excellent, but in my room, the A/C never worked and they came many times and always said they "fixed it" but it never worked, we kept calling but I decided to leave it alone since I didn't feel like wasting my time in the room waiting for a repair man or being changed, I don't need an ice cold room to sleep but sometimes it was very uncomfortable, especially after my husband and I made love :) They advertise a la carte resturants, on Saturday night we went to the mexican a la carte and waited to be seated for more than 15 minutes, but there was no one to seat us!!! we kept asking the waiters if we can seat ourselves (there were plenty of tables empty) but they kept saying we had to wait. Finally we decided to leave and go to the buffet and try again tomorrow. Yeah right, Sunday night we went back to the Mexican restaurant to try our luck again but it was closed!!! so was the Italian A la Carte restaurant so again back to the awful buffet to eat the same food, we ended up eating mostly grilled fish and hamburguers from the 24/7 grill by the beach, which was really good, the french fries were excellent and always fresh. There are two pools which are really nice but kind of small, the beach is gorgeous and we had a really nice walk on the beach, the sand is powdery and white and the beach is very safe for children, no waves and very shallow. The disco was a nice change, it has a game room outside with a bar, two pool tables and a "foosball" machine, the disco area is big with a nice dancing area, the ambience is very tropical, I really enjoyed the disco. All in all we had a good time but the main things we did not enjoy were the food and the bad service. Finally, I want to mention that I am Dominican, I am not a tourist, I live in Santo Domingo and chose this hotel because I wanted to stay close to the city (45 minutes). I am the most open mind person in the world, but I have been to many resorts in the DR and this one I would only go back if I get it for free. for those who want to know I would recommend the following: Viva Wyhndam in Bayahibe (La Romana), Catalonia Beach Resort in Bavaro, Barcelo Bavaro Casino in Bavaro and NHotels in Bavaro. I have been to many others but I highly recommend those, especially the Catalonia, best vacation ever.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
There are plenty of restarants outside of the hotel, Juan Dolio is considered "the Miami Beach of the Caribbean" but it doesn't have many resorts since is mostly like a retirement community with plenty of private properties and condos, there are a lot of restaurants if you take a short walk out of the hotels.
