Plaza Real Resort

This was my third time because I really like the hotel and the staff. I have been there alone and with my family...always good. I will go back.

Not up to american standards of a 2 star. Unit in disrepair. Pool area was nice. Location was good until the huge condos blocked view & access to beautiful white sand beach. Staff was friendly & some restaurants very close.picture is not of the hotel.

It serves it's purpose. Not the higher-end, but not the lower end either. Bar closes down early. Pizza spot on-site. Pool area is decent, I guess, but hotel does not provide towels for the pool. Hotel/resort needs renovations as, while things work, and the grounds are kept clean, the rooms are dilapidated. Not bad, but just in need of some attention. There was A/C in the kitchen and living room area, but only ceiling fans in the bedrooms. We could access the beach the across the street through a walkway. I would check other options first, and if it came down to it, in a pinch, I would stay here again, but only for one night.

Awful experience.The pictures of this "REAL Resort" were deceiving! The Whole place was in dire need of renovations. The first room had a broken window screen in which I received a total of 14 mosquito bites, bad air conditioning,no towels, low water pressure, power outages, bed with springs sticking out and flattened out lumpy pillows. When I asked for another room because of the problems but mainly the mosquitoes, the receptionist was hesitant to change rooms.When she finally did make the change she mocked me by saying there were no "MOs---SKI---TOES" in this room. The next room was slightly better although there were still power outages, flucutating water pressure in the shower, no hot water, Mosquitoes galore, the pillows were way better & air conditioning worked. I bought Mosquito spray & tape & sealed the door close to keep those blood suckers out. They still got in just less. 21 Bites in total! Travelers BEWARE! This place is NOT Recommended! If you decide to stay here anyway be sure to have all your shots, bug spray , bug nets, tape, calamine lotion & bottled water. 2 Thumbs Down!

Great location for Juan Dolio. Right in the center of the main boulevard. Great amenities including pool, restaurant, bakery, custom pizza ovens, and tiki bar. Rooms in the older buildings are clean but need updating, especially in the bathrooms. I've stayed there before and will stay there again. Great value for the price.

This is a great getaway spot. This resort is a stone throw away from the beach. Looks great well kept . The staff is great the security is 24 hours a day . Met the owners son very down to earth anything I needed the staff got it for me. The rooms are clean, and comes with a full kitchen which can save you money. You can also walk to casino, restaurants and bars .

The hotel is not what it looks like in the pictures; it looks worst. It needs a lot of maintenance work, It's filthy, unsafe and It is not guess ready. Poor customer service. I couldn't stay.

It was very decent & clean, Staffs were very helpful, It had beautiful and clean pool and it had a very nice view...across the beach! I will go again....

This hotel is definitely is not a 4 or a 5 star hotel, if you just need a place to just sleep this is the place, there is not much going on around the hotel or in the hotel, i had to request clean towels otherwise they would kept the same dirty towels in the room for many days. I spent most of my time out side the area even ended up in Punta Cana, oooh just be careful walking by the beds for some reason i kept hitting my knee or my legs on the bed even hurt my toe , the corner of the beds are sticking too far out and the frames are low u might hit your toe there real bad like i did
