Baltic Hotel Imperial is located in the Old town of Tallinn, at the foot of Toompea Hill. The hotel is unique as it was built against the historic town wall in 1877 and it also provided accommodation under the same name in the early-20th century. The Imperial was reopened after renovation in 2003. The hotel's interior and atmosphere are in harmony with the respectable age of the building. The medieval town wall is exhibited inside the hotel; the lobby is furnished with romantic antique furniture with modern touches here and there. The property offers airport transfer, baby sitting service, bar, conference facilities, currency exchange, disabled facilities, dry cleaning, Internet access-wireless, laundry service, lift/ elevator, lobby, non-smoking rooms, parking facilities-at cost, reception, restaurant, room service, safe deposit box, 25-hour front desk, newspapers, luggage storage and allergy-free room available. It's a smoke-free hotel. NOTE: There's a charge for extra bed, sauna, restaurant F&B and minibar.

good location, but that's it

Apparently a four-star hotel, but my room (especially the bathroom) was looking tired. Breakfast ordinary, and staff a bit disinterested. Obviously a good location, but not very good value overall.

Old City Charm

We stayed at the Baltic Imperial Tallinn for a couple of nights in January 2012. The hotel is located inside and at the edge of the Old City so we walked through the Old City easily. An ATM was available close by. Had the best sleep in one of the most comfortalble beds and the very best hot bath I've ever had anywhere. We stayed in an 'economy' class room which was spacious by anyone's standard. Tiled floors in bathroom were heated and restaurant adjoined. Staff were most helpful and spoke English. Transfers were efficient and on time even at 5.30 a.m.

lovely hotel right in Tallinn Old Town

different and personal compared to the American large hotels. Excellent and safe location if you like to visit Old Town. Clean small hotel with character. Great breakfast and incredibly attentive staff. Nice bar and lovely restaurant. Well worth the price.

We had a good stay. The hotel

We had a good stay. The hotel was not able not provide us the triple room we had booked - for the reason beyound their control we understood - , but they had set aside two neighbouring rooms for us instead, which was fine. Alternatively, we would have got a triple in another hotel of the chain nearby. We appreciated the free wifi in the room. The breakfast and breakfast room were nice, and the reception friendly.

Perfect Location

Hotel Imperial is located in Tallinn's old city -- it is newly-renovated; our room was small but clean and comfortable. The free breakfast buffet was outstanding. The staff was courteous and helpful. You can't go wrong selecting the Imperial!
