Hotel Central La Defense

The picture shown on the Orbitz site is misleading. This hotel is not suitable for business travelers working in-and-around La Defense, it is not appropriate for holiday travelers visiting Paris, and is not as close to the Metro as the advert would suggest. The room was dirty, small, and noisy (next to the rail line but not the station). Just stay away if you want to enjoy your Paris visit!

Great place to stay as long as you are aware that it is zone 3 from paris, love la defence and the big cube.

We booked this hotel hoping to save money on our trip to Paris. Having been to the city before, I was well aware of the distance from La Defense to the center of Paris; however, it was just not worth it. The positives - the hotel was very clean and well-kept and the staff was friendly and helpful when I needed information. The negatives - Our room was TINY. It was barely bigger than the double bed, which was pretty hard and had the smallest pillows. We ended up rolling up the comforter and using it as a bolster behind the pillows. The bathroom was even worse. The shower was so small that I would bump the handle and end up turning it off when I tried to turn around. There were very little amenities in the room. We had a TV and a couple packets of shampoo, but didn't have tissues, an alarm clock, or an iron. Often times we would return to the room after a day out to find that housekeeping had only left us with one clean towel. Fortunately, the front desk staff was always willing to get us more. If you still decide to book here, pray you don't have a room at the back of the hotel. Every 5 minutes from about 5:30 AM to 1:00 AM the train runs along a track that our room faced. The windows were good at keeping out most of the sound, but our trip was during the summer when it was just too hot to keep the windows closed. This is the train that another post mentioned, but this is the suburban train you need a different ticket for- not the same as the Metro! In order to get to the Metro, you need to walk all the way up to the Grande Arche to get to the #1 line. My advice - just suck it up and get a hotel within the Paris city limits!

Very small place, and bathroom, noisy, no ac and they don't even speak fluent english

Very near railway. Could hear in the evning trains passing by.

Günstig gelegen nahe der U-Bahn Station "La Defense" gelegen und relativ sauber und ruhig. Nettes und hilfreiches Personal am Empfang, in dieser Preisklasse absout zu empfehlen. Wir waren schon ein paar Mal dort, allerdings immer zum last minute tarif, der reguläre Preis ist überteuert.

Nous avons passés deux jours dans cette hôtel, la propreté dans les chambres était irréprochable, seul truc au petit deujeuner il fallait faire la file, et quand c'était notre tour il y avait plus rien que du café léger comme du thé. nous avions signalé la présence d'un enfant, mais nous avions une chambre dans la qu'elle deux personne ne pouvaient pas loger, domage.

Hôtel d'une propreté exemplaire,en cours de rénovation. Manque d'organisation au petit déjeuner : le gérant sort acheter croissants et pain plusieurs fois d'affilée. Très bon accueil.
