clean and comfortable

The Globe and Cecil was quite comfortable, though the room and bathroom were much more modest than expected. The room was meticulously cleaned each day and the staff very friendly and accomodating. The location has to be one of the best in the city, very lively with shopping, restaurants and bars, one block off the place bellecour (the largest square in Europe). very easy walking to almost everything.

Shopping tip: Short walk from hotel

Not only is there shopping galore, but tons of restaurants, cafes, brasseries, etc. The shopping in this neighborhood is very high end (for instance, louis vuitton) but there is also a neighborhood convenience store close by (7/11 type store) where you can get anything from toothpaste to wine and fois gras.
