Holiday Inn Notre Dame
Stayed at the Holiday Inn Notre Dame when in Paris on business. A friend came along and went sight seeing. The staff was extremely helpful, the hotel modern and clean, and the location was great. The room was small (but then many rooms in Paris are small) but recently renovated. We had an issue late one night when the lights went out in the room, and they immediately offered another room (tho we were too tired to move!) The 9th floor has a roof garden with a great view of the Eiffel Tower at sunset. If you are looking for a convenient left Bank location I think you will be happy with this choice.

Fantastic hotel in a great location
This hotel far exceeded our expectations. The hotel seemed brand new and the rooms were small, but comfortable and trendy. The location was excellent for our needs. Many restaurants and cafes within a block and a Metro stop you could see from the entrance. You could walk to many attractions from the location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Wonderful Hotel, Great Location
My daughter and I spent a busy weekend in Paris traveling from London. The hotel is a jewel on a quintessential little Paris street (Danton)just a block or two from the Seine, Notre Dame, and the Latin Quarter and the hotel called a taxi for other trips. At night from the roof top bar you can see all the major attractions lighted. What a sight!

Time-saving tip:
Not Applicable
Perhaps it's the peak season effect, but taxi's are hard to get off the street in Paris. The hotel called them for us and that was effective only a five minute wait, but coming back from Musee D'orsey, we finally took the metro.

Fantastic hotel
This was the best possible location for our Paris 6 day vacation. Close to St Michel fountain and a lively shopping, restaurant and party district. Inspite of being in this very lively portion of the left bank, the hotel was quiet and peaceful. It was an easy walk to Ile de la Cite (and Notre Dame). The Metro station is steps away. We had the misfortune of being pick-pocketed on the metro on our second day (watch out for crowds and "too" friendly little gypsy girls, especially on the metro). The front desk staff was very helpful and kind. The woman on duty called the police to find out where I had to go to report the loss of passports, and the USA embassy to find out how to get them replaced. Ultimately, the same woman coordinated the return of our passports when they were found. The front desk staff is not very knowledgible about tours, so plan on looking those up online. The breakfast buffet was expensive (20 Euros) but delicious and convenient. Many other less expensive restaurants are close by. We had an executive suite on the fourth floor with 2 twin beds. It was odd to have a clear glass window into the bathroom shower. There was a translucent screen that we could pull down, but showerers were still plainly visible. We used big scarves to further cover the screen, and have visual privacy. The room and beds were clean, and VERY comfortable. The air conditioning was quiet and cold! The room had a desk, little couch, and refrigerator. Plenty of outlets (rare in Europe hotel rooms)with both English and French outlets. No WiFi in room, but available for a low charge in the lobby. OVERALL, this place was fantastic for location, cleanliness, and friendly staff.

Paris love-crazed couple
Amazing view for a romantic getaway!
We rented an apartment in Paris, but stole away one night, from grandma and the kids, to have a night alone (as a couple). The Eiffel Tower view rooms not only offer an amazing balcony with a beautiful view of the Tower, but of the entire city of Paris. We were in heaven! Watching the sun set on this amazing city and then enjoying how it lit up at night was breathtaking. We enjoyed coffee on the balcony in the morning, which was the perfect end to a truly romantic night. It doesn't get any better than this!

Reserved 2 rooms, one was with E.Tower view. Very small room, save your money and bypass the view. Elevator was unpredictable. Room was stocked with shampoo that had already been used. Internet expensive and slow. Only good thing was the location. Close to RER, Metro.

Brand-new hotel in convenient location
The Holiday Inn Notre Dame was just six months old when I stayed there, and that was a large part of the appeal for me: I like clean, modern hotels. So if you're in search of a classic Paris establishment oozing old-fashioned charm, look elsewhere. This was my first visit to Paris, and I went as a solo tourist, so I wanted all of the landmarks in easy walking distance. And that's what I got. In my four days, I took the Metro just a few times, mainly for the experience, because walking everywhere was a pleasure from this location. My room was pretty small, but perfectly fine for one person. It had a balcony, which was nice. (By the way, if you want a view of the Eiffel Tower, ask for a room on a high floor in the rear of the hotel.) The only thing I disliked about the room was the bathroom. It looked great -- ultra-modern in all the details -- but it was hard to use. The unusual shower and sink designs caused floods, even when I was careful. And I found the housekeeping service in the bathroom inattentive: the sink top and the toilet seat cover both looked dirty throughout my stay. All in all, though, I'd recommend the Holiday Inn Notre Dame. It's brand-new, in a central Paris location, with reasonable rates. If that's what you're looking for, you probably can't do much better.
