Hotel Cardinal Rive Gauche Paris

I chose this hotel because it's near friends who live in Paris, and the area is a residential one. The hotel is ok, no problems. A plus for me is that there are several bakeries nearby and a Starbucks and that's how I took breakfast. There are two Metro stops not too far away and a railroad station about 15 minutes by foot.

The hotel was quiet, reasonably comfortable, typically small bedroom & bathroom (this is Paris) but clean & modern & we heard no noise from neighbouring rooms. It was not cheap compared with other Paris hotels we have stayed in, but suited us as we liked the non-touristy area, didn't stay there to watch TV or befriend the staff, and are fluent in French. Also the Metro & buses are quite close & convenient for the Louvre, shopping centre, etc.. Hot drinks facilities in the room would have been welcome.

After booking this place last minute and blind, I wasn't sure what I'd get. The price was certainly good. Lucky for me, this place is right at the foot of Rue Mouffetard which is a nice walk up the hill to the Seine. Also basically dead south from Notre Dame, which makes navigation easy from the Seine. There are several Velib' stations nearby (I'd recommend them as the best way of getting around and a nice way to see the city.) Also it's only a few blocks from an RER station and a metro station. The room was nice, the staff was pleasant and spoke at least French, English, and Italian. We never had the in-house breakfast (seemed a little pricey and we'd rather get around the city) but the desk was nice letting us in very late (three or four in the morning.) Free newspapers in several languages in the lounge. It's a very small place, probably only twenty rooms. The bathroom/toilet are separate and the toilet room is slightly claustrophobic, but the windows open wide and have beautiful window boxes. It was a simple room but clean and nice. Just remember to leave your key with the desk every day when you leave the room (why? I don't know, but it's not a big deal- make sure you don't lose the key or something.)

The Cardinal Rive Gauche offered a great location to sites in Paris without spending $400.00 dollars a night. Located just outside the Latin Quarter, in a relaxing neighborhood with great resources for food and a metro station around the corner made our stay very relaxing and enjoyable. Overall best deal in Paris!

This hotel is exactly what it sets out to be: a very good quality 3 star hotel. The staff are extremely helpful; the rooms are spotlessly clean. I stayed in a double room on my own. There was just enough cupboard space; nowhere for my suitcase except beside the bed. Fine for one person, but it would have been very cramped for 2. I did not try the breakfast so cannot comment on that.

Charming hotel for a short stay, room small but clean and quiet. Great area a short walk from restaurants and market.

The Hotel Cardinal Rive Gauche Comfort in Paris location is, probably, the best value for such hotel. Also I shall say that it was very clean and bathroom amenities were brand new and shiny. We could walk in any direction from it and be able to find nice cafe or restaurant, grocery store, farmers market and, of course, famous tourist destinations, like Pantheon, Luxembourg Gardens and more and more. The hotel staff was very helpful and nice and even upgraded our room to Superior, which, considering Paris hotel room sizes, was really bigger and more comfortable. The only hot stuff for breakfast were tea and coffee, but there were variety of cheeses, cereals and yogurts. The nearby street Rue Mouffetard is an excellent addition to the hotel location with lots of food places , grocery stores and farmer's market. Bus No.27 took us to the Louvre and Gallery D'Orcey. Its easy to navigate in Paris. We stayed there for five days and would recommend this hotel to our friends and family.

地下鉄の便などは抜群とまでは言えませんが　左岸を中心に歩く方にはお勧めの場所だと思います。近くにはおいしいものがいっぱいで食事したり買って帰って食べるのにとても便利な場所でした。地下鉄からは近いですが　道が入り組んでいるので女性が初めての時には到着時間が暗くならないうちにしたほうがいいと思います。レ・ゴブラン駅からのほうがわかりやすいです。バスも27番47番89番91番をよく使いました。こじんまりしたホテルなので団体は入らないのではないかと思いますし　私の滞在中、宿泊客は割と年齢層が高く少人数 グループばかりだったので　静かに滞在できました。小さいながらも設備も一応整っており　貴重品金庫や　シャンプーゼッケン類もちゃんとありました。朝食のフランスパンがおいしいのがなんといってもうれしかったです。
