Hotel Kyriad Italie Gobelins Paris

The experience getting to this hotel was terrifying. It is in a very bad location in Paris. Not anywhere close to any of the attractions. When we arrived the hallway was dark to our room, the interior of the room looks nothing like what is on the website. The only light that worked was a small one in the bathroom. We immediately left this hotel before spending the night. Do not go here, it is nothing like what is shown on the website.

Nothing fancy here, but that's not what we were expecting for a two night layover. We were in a small, functional room on the ground floor, just off the breakfast area. The hotel is in a really good location in the 13th, convenient to Metro and bus lines, with several decent restaurants within a short walk. The staff was helpful and informal -- if you speak a little French, they'll meet you halfway with a little English. It's not the ideal base camp if you be visiting Paris for more than a few days, but I would stay here again. Tip: the breakfast at 7or 8 euro just didn't seem worth it, especially with cafes all around.

I requested a quiet room specifying away from the elevator. Instead, I was put in a closet-sized room near not only the elevator but the reception desk and behind the stairs. I could hear everything and was alternately kept up late and woken up early. Part of the blame falls with the booking site for not relaying or stressing my request; however, I can't believe the hotel itself would feel any guest would be comfortable in this room more than a night or two maximum (I stayed six). Plus, the site is misleading: breakfast and the safe are extra.

The Kyriad 13 was an amazing hotel for our stay in Paris. A breakfast buffet is offered every morning that has an excellent selection and is significantly less expensive than trying to grab breakfast every morning at a nearby cafe (though you should do it at least once). For English speakers there are no worries, the staff are proficient in English and incredibly friendly. Our room was small but we expected this. That being said it was more than enough space for my wife and I. The bathroom was great and there was a shower not just a tub. Room cleanliness was never an issue and the staff went above in beyond in cleaning the room while we were out, one time even rinsing out a mug I had left half full of coffee. The hotel also offers free wi-fi which was very easy to use. The location itself was great, a short walk away from the #7 Metro Line and lots of small bakeries and cafes very near by. There are two grocery stores within walking distance as well. If we come back to Paris I'm not sure we'd stay anywhere else.

This is a simple hotel, my room was very small but comfortable and fine for one person, clean, and in a great area: the 13th arrondissement is calm and quiet and yet close to the rest of the city -- the metro is just down the street.

Nothing flash at all, but good for the cheap price, and if you don't intend to spend all day in the hotel room.

this is a nice hotel in a good location.lots of restaurants around. personal is very nice and helpfull.breakfast is good as well. we could even have breakfast at 5.45 because of an early flight.

Breakfast buffet above average with fresh orange juice on tap. Tea and coffee there in your room too!
