Never again. Very bad experience!
This hotel was the worst I have ever stayed in. I booked a room for one night for $392 for its location and the nice pictures they have on their website. When I got there, I was given a room that is worse than an attic! very small, 2 steps at the door to get to the bed and then 2 steps to get to the desk and 1 window facing a wall. I wouldn’t put my dog there. When I went down to complain, the rude receptionist said that the manager has left and if I want to complain, here’s the computer in the lobby to do so! I had nowhere to go that night and had to stay. They have these rooms on every story at that hotel so be aware before you book. Motel 6 would have been much better than this one. Although, the soap & shampoo were good.

Great break with my sister
We used the hotel as a base for visiting Roland Garros. The hotel gave us a beautiful twin room, excellent location, helpful staff (the night porter was friendly and really helped us with our requests for information on facilities in the area). A wonderful break with my sister. We'll be back!

Great Little Hotel
This hotel was a lovely find within easy walking distance to the Eiffel Tower. My girlfriend and I stayed in the junior sweet which overlooks the upper two portions of the tower. Although the advertising states the hotel was renovated in 2001, the furniture is dated and the walls are stained. Additionally, every morning started with construction at 9am. Overall, the pitfalls did not detract from the view nor the service.

Eat at the nicer Cafes within a 5 minute walk from the hotel. In general, the price difference is not that large and the food is a lot better. Avoid English menus because they omit large portions of the actual French menu.

Super place
This is a beautiful hotel within a stone's throw of the Arc d'Triomphe. The rooms and beautiful and reasonably sized for Paris standards and our bathroom was large and beautiful. The staff was wonderful, spoke English well and helped us out with everything from loaning us a power adapter to sending us to a wonderful restaurant 20 minutes walk away. The hotel is located a fairly long but easily navigated walk from the Louvre. We loved staying here!

Eat at Chez Andre for dinner...very friendly to Americans and wonderful food. Also nearby try the cafe Dauphine in St. Germain. My husband had the best quiche he ever had in his life and my Croque Monsieur Dauphine was to die for! Right across the street from the hotel is a nice Brasserie with outstanding lamb but stay away from Cafe Caesar...

Splendid Etoile
Location is amazing, the hotel staff are very helpful and friendly. We arrived at 0730 and they were able to check us in within the hour. Right across from the metro station and the shuttle stop from the CDG!
