Holiday Inn BERLIN CITY EAST-LANDSBERGER

Great Staff, good location with easy access to 2 different TRAM routes

It is a nice hotel. The room was big and comfy and the staff were friendly and helpful. They do have a business center for internet services (not free) - if you bring your own laptop, it will cost you 8 Euro for one hour. Location is good but not great. It will take approximately 30-45 minutes by bus + subway to get to the train station. But once you learned the system, it was not hard to get around the city.

The Holiday Inn Landsberger Allee was very nice except for one thing. The food there was too expensive and they did not offer any cheap alternatives. The only breakfast offered was a very nice but expensive buffet, but who wants a full buffet every morning, assuming one can afford it. All we wanted was coffee and a roll or pastry; for this we had to walk several blocks to a nearby supermarket which also included its own bakery, where we were able to get the coffee and pastry we wanted. Also, there were no close-by restaurants. When the supermarket was closed on Sundays and holidays, we had to walk several blocks to the tram and take it several miles to find a restaurant. The bright spot was that the public transportation system is excellent, so we never had to wait more than a few minutes for the tram.

We stayed 3 days in Berlin in September. Hotel was good. Rooms were clean and cleaners visited everyday in time. Staff was nice and speaked good english. I think this is good hotel for few days stay. It takes about 20 minutes to be in Alexanderplats with tram. In Finnish: Hyvä hotelli. Vietettiin 3 päivää syksy-aikaan täällä ja moittimisen varaa en löytänyt hintaan nähden. Asiallinen hyvin Englantia puhuva henkilökunta ja siistit huoneet. Aamiainen oli todella monipuolinen ja keskustaan on hyvät kulkuyhteydet raitiovaunulla.
