Great price great location
This hotel was perfect for what we needed - budget friendly in a safe neighborhood. The major sites are within walking distance and there are lovely cafes and restaurants just up the street. Be sure to stop at the tiki bar just up the hill after dinner! Even better was the staff who were all very kind - in particular is Marika who went above and beyond to assist with our Hamman Bath reservations (a definite must if you are in the area). She was very attentive and helpful thru our entire stay and we were very appreciative of her. My travel friend and I are both single woman and are are very conscious in regards to the safety of our surroundings. I would not only reccomend this hotel to woman traveling alone but to families as well. I hope you all enjoy this hotel and area as much as we did!

Sightseeing tip:
Short walk from hotel
We dropped our bags at the hotel and grabbed the big red sightseeing bus just up the street. It is a 90 minute narrated tour that you can hop on and off at your leisure. It was an easy way to get the lay of the land and figure out what attractions you wanted to go back and visit. I think it was 19 euros and the ticket was good for 2 days.

good location, good value, bring confirmation
The hotel was very well located walking distance from the metro station and the acropolis. The staff was a little bit rude. My reservation included breakfast and when I got there he pulled out a paper that read "room only" despite the fact that my printed confirmation read differently they will not include my breakfast. I got tired of arguing and ate my breakfast around the corner in a very nice cafe.

Great location.
Room was plain, but it included a free American Breakfast and excellent coffee, which is next to impossible to find anywhere except US. Walking distance to Placa and Acropolis. We were there during the general strike and were fine walking everywhere. Rally nice, knowledgable staff and perfect location.

Great one night stay!
We were very pleased with the visual appeal of the lobby, restaurant, and stylish room with a balcony. The staff was extremely courteous and went above and beyond (coordinated a to-go breakfast and a taxi for us, since we had to leave for the airport before 5am). Everything went according to plan and we were very happy with the value for our stay. Keep up the great work!

An easy walk to the metro - save cash and take that from the airport! Our taxi ride was 50 euro but the metro cost us 14 for two tickets, one way.

Nice hotel
Got a good price. Only 15-20 mins walking to Acropolis. Metro station only 5 mins away.

Doesn't look much from outside
Doesn't look much from outside but the welcome is great, lots of helpful information and close to the Plaka, New Acopolis Museum and of course the Acropolis. Breakfast is good although a little more variety would be helpful but overall loved this small, comfortable hotel and the staff were lovely.

5/2/2011 Good news - floors 1 and 2 are being renovated.! Went to this hotel early as our tour was also staying there. We were placed in a room that was sub standard. However, this week, they started major renovations on the two previously unrenovated floors of the hotel. The other floors are quite nice, as we were later placed on these floors as part of the tour. The staff was very helpful. They even made us a box breakfast to take to the airport. The location is easily within walking distance from the Acropolis, the new museum and the Plaka.

We really enjoyed this hotel.
We really enjoyed this hotel. The staff was not only helpful, but warm and friendly as well. Hotel was clean with good facilities: very nice dining room, bar, and lounge, and Internet facilities available in the lobby and in the rooms through Wi-Fi. Excellent and sumptuous breakfast! Within walking distance of the Plaka, the Acropolis, Syntagma Square, and all the historic sites. Nice residential neighborhood, quiet and peaceful (some traffic noise but definitely not bad enough to prevent a good night's sleep). Great value! We would definitely stay here again, and recommend the Hotel Acropolis Select to others. Thanks!
