Live amongst the locals in Yau Ma Tei at reasonable rates

This might be the best deal in Hong Kong. Dorsett Seaview Hotel is located in the mixed residential and commercial neighborhood of Yau Ma Tei in Kowloon. The local flavor makes it a terrific place to stay for travelers who want to experience the real Hong Kong. The hotel itself has been renovated recently, which means that rooms are bright and new. Simple room comforts make up for their compact size, especially for guests who plan to spend most of their time exploring Hong Kong.

Rooms

Rooms are really quite compact, even by Hong Kong standards, but designed to make the most of limited space. Rooms feature an in-room safe and mini-fridge. In the alcove above the safe, guests can hang their clothes. Frosted glass separates the bathroom from the sleeping area, contributing to the feeling of openness. Though the intimately-sized quarters are sufficient for most travelers, those of larger stature might consider upgrading to a deluxe double for additional space. All rooms include flat-screen LCD TV, broadband Internet access and spotless bathrooms.

A buffet breakfast is served daily at Feng Shui Cafe on the 19th floor. The cafe also offers free Wi-Fi access with views of the city and a sliver of the harbor. Great location

Great location as near to MTR and temple street.. Only setback was the small room and small shower area... Room was super clean... We asked for a double room and was given a two jointed single bed...

Really poor service

It was bad. Not business hotel. The breadfast was really poor and towels in bathroom were not clean. There was just 1 restaurant in the hotel. The location was too far from the center of the Hong Kong. It was the worst I have had.

Only for a one night stopover.

The rooms are the size of postage stamps. Everything you need is there, basics, but any room I can touch opposing walls in at one time is just too small. MacDonald's is two blocks West.

An all-round good experience.

An all-round good experience. The hotel was clean and the staff friendly. Standard double room with a normal-sized bathroom, larger than some by Hong Kong standards. Not a ritzy area but never felt uneasy in any way. Only a couple of blocks off Nathan with it's excellent bus service. Would certainly recommend it for anyone wanting sleeping accommodations at a reasonable price. Buffet breakfast wasn't worth it ------- you'd do better on Nathan road.

Dorsett Seaview Hotel is very suitable for travellers with no tour package since it's very near MTR station. I also love the Temple Street behind the hotel for the night market and great & cheap chinese food.

Overall very pleasant stay, only

Overall very pleasant stay, only 5 mins walk to mtr entrance. Yaumatei you can walk to mongkok etc if you want not far and good location. Staff helpful, room size adequate, equipped sufficiently. I would stay here again.
