Ok experience
Overall ok experience. We lost money and think it was stolen from our room, but it is impossible to proof or know for sure. The staff was friendly and courteous, and the rooms were clean. The biggest issue was that several times other guests were partying extremely loud until after 3am - which made it difficult to sleep.

Sightseeing tip:
Short walk from hotel
If using the Metro, very nicely located at the train station and walking along Rakoczi Street to the next Square was very safe (close to New York Cafe and Bali Cafe). Don't forget to go to Szcentendre - quaint and picturesque town.

A quick stay in Budapest
I stayed at this location because I am a member of Best Western Rewards. I thought the hotel was PERFECTLY located if you are travelling my train. it is literally across the street from the International train station and is about a 3 minute walk to the local trains and buses. Check in was GREAT! They were super nice. Made me laugh after a 13 hour flight. Breakfast was great. Lots of meats, pastries, cheese, eggs (all ways), and of course coffee. It was crowded but not uncomfortable. the DOWNSIDE to breakfast is it is 8€ per person and that is just ridiculous! Made service came twice a day. THAT was great. No gym to workout in. Wanted to get a pedicure and manicure but the lady wasn't open. i checked out at 0530 because I had a train at 0630. The checkout clerk was VERY rude. I think he was tired from being up all night. OH WELL. Overall I give this place a 7/10. Location to the train station, maid service, and the CHECK-IN staff is why I scored it as high as a 7. I DO recommend this location.

Bad experience
The only good think I can say about his hotel is that the restaurant is very good (a la carte rest.) Maybe they have a centennial tradition, but the hotel is not modern at all. The rooms look very old and they need renovation, the matteress were uncomfortable. On top of that, our room was barely cleaned while we were there. The location is very bad, that area looks dangerous and there are scary people around all day long. If you plan to go out at night, it doesn't feel safe to return late (I was traveling with a female friend). Also, the staff is not friendly and they don't seem to speak good English, I had to ask them two or three times very simple questions. They were not very helpful with any recomendations either, every time that I asked something they couldn't give a good or a bad reference about anything. I would never stay there again and certainly wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Perfect Location
Perfect location and very friendly staff. Rooms were very large and clean. Just a little bit noisy on the street-side so be sure to ask for a room away from the street if possible. No laundry service available at the hotel or in the neighgorhood so plan accordingly.

Nightlife tip:
Short walk from hotel
Hotel is blocks from huge variety of night clubs, restaurants and shops. A little towards the 'gritty' part of town but had a great European feel.

Quite close to train station
I was just in Budapest overnight waiting for a train connection. The hotel is close to the main train station, and it's easy to get to the center on public transportation.

For sure is not a 4 star hotel.
For sure is not a 4 star hotel. It good only to sleep and not to stay enjoying the hotel facilities. It´s quite near of Keleti station, with train and metro. The price was also good
