Great Budapest hotel
Excellent hotel in a great location. Really wonder faciltiies - spa and particularly the pool were great. Staff extremely polite and helpful. Only slight negative was that the room - which itself was excellent - was quite warm and the a/c didn't really cool it down that much. Would definitely go back.

Luxury stay in Budapest
We very much enjoyed our stay here. The hotel staff were always friendly and helpful, and the rooms our family stayed in were comfortable and cosy. The hotel breathes pure luxury in a tastefully renovated classical building, while remaining comfortable and convenient to its guests. The main restaurant and breakfast room staff are real hotel professionals and serve their guests in style worthy of the environment. We found the pool area a little tight at times, but we enjoyed the friendly and service oriented staff and therapists who make the spa a real treat for body and mind. The city is just beautiful, and we will be back to see more soon!

Elegant and stylish 5-star
The Corinthia really is a 5-star hotel. The staff are well-trained and very helpful, the interior is elegant, and the food is excellent. There's often a pianist in the lounge, which is a lovely touch when you're having a drink. There is a decent gym, and a beautiful swimming pool with jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and all the frills. If you can't keep away from the Internet, there's also a small business centre with free web access. For getting about the city, the 4 and 6 trams depart from right outside - and it's only a short walk to Oktogon metro station and the stylish Andrassy St. The only way we felt let down was that the air-conditioning didn't really hack it in 27-30C daytime heat, so the bedroom was too hot at night. Apart from that, we loved the hotel in every way.

Short walk from hotel
Turn right out of the hotel, then at Oktogon turn left onto Andrassy Avenue. Staying on the left walk along to Andrassy 39, until you find the bookshop and wine store with an art nouveau frontage. Go up the escalator to the Bookcafé and be amazed! It's the most beautiful coffee shop in the world.

Good Value
The hotel is very nice. Centrally located with a tram stop in front. We were upgraded to a suite which was fabulous. The staff were great and very attentive without being intrusive. Unfortunately, the wi-fi does not seem to be compatible with Apple products. Tech support was very apologetic and was trying to sort the problem out with the hotel's provider. Ended up having to use the business center. Also, the rooms facing the front are a bit affected by noise, so warning to light sleepers. Overall a nice stay.

Comfortable Hotel
The room was clean and neat with good amenities. It was along a boulvard that was easy access to restaurants but would have preferred being closer to the river....was about a 20-30 minute walk to the river where all the action is. The assistance in choosing restaurants and answering any questions was excellent. Very Nice hotel..just wish it was closer to the river.

Taking a city tour first is a great way to decide what to do ..there are so many wonderful places to visit. Taking the 1 hour river cruise on the Danube also gives you a nice view of the city and places to go and see.
