Lovely long weekend in Reykjavik
Lovely hotel, staff were very helpful and friendly. Pool and sauna were fantastic. Tour activities could be organised directly from the hotel, which was handy. Gave the location 4 out of 5 because the hotel is a little outside the city centre despite the free shuttle bus service. Also gave the room comfort 4 out of 5 as our room was on the small side, however the bed was very comfortable. It would have been nice to have free WFI in the room as one had to go down to the lobby to get any free internet access. Cannot rate the breakfast or dinner service as we were always too late getting up in the morning and we preferred to eat out. Overall, this is a nice hotel to stay in and would stay here again if we were to come back.

Don't book the Northern Light in advance as it's weather dependent -if you get a clear day book on the day.

Fantastic value for money
We had an excellent stay at this hotel. Although a little bit outside of town it was an easy walk and the free bus tickets and regular buses made it a very easy and quick journey. The staff were extremely helpful. The facilities were excellent - especially the spa which was very enjoyable after a busy day or kicked start a day perfectly. The rooms were cosy and warm and although some reviews have criticised the small size of them we felt that the rooms were perfectly fine and spacious enough for us. Overall we had a fabulous stay at this hotel and would be very keen to return.

Christmas in Reykjavik
This was our first visit to Iceland. We arrived at the hotel early were able to check into our room and still able to have breakfast at the well-stocked breakfast buffet. The restaurant staff was friendly and courteous. The dinner buffets offered on Christmas Eve and Christmas evening were delicious, but the same meal twice. The breakfast buffet offered an interesting mix of delicious choices. The hours for use of the pool and sauna were limiting since the facility closed at 4 p.m. which did not allow much time for use as we were sightseeing during the day and would have enjoyed a relaxing sauna in the evening. Openly offering the upgrades at check-in would have been very helpful instead of just having them laying there on a piece of paper. Logging on to the WIFI was expensive and complicated.

Long walk from hotel
Take advantage of the restaurants in town. There are some really good choices. They can be reached by taxi (most convenient) or by a long walk into the center of the city.

Clean, conveniently located, a little noisy and hard to regulate temperature
Icelandair Hotel Natura was a great spot to stay, with a great location on one side of Reykjavik (any further and you hit water) so that you could navigate easily. Shuttle service was provided downtown at no cost, and the food was good - if a bit pricey. The pool was excellent, easily one of the best hotel pools I've ever experienced. The only drawbacks were minor. Being located at Reykjavik airport, planes naturally came in and out throughout the day. However it was impossible to tell a schedule as the flights would leave at 12am, 1am or 2am. The other minor issue was that to let air into the room, you had to use the window. Being Iceland, air conditioning was not included in the room, but if you wanted to sleep you needed to close the blackout curtains which also cut off the breeze from the window. A personal comfort trade off between light and temperature was required. I would recommend this hotel to other travelers with the above two reservations.

Long walk from hotel
Downtown has more than enough options to feed you at a new place every day of the week (and then some). Make sure to get cross-sectional street adresses, as the numbers on some buildings can be hard to see.

Good Overall Experience
For the price, we expected a bit more class and comfort in our room; however, the pool and hot tub were incredible and made it a worthwhile stay. We also enjoyed the walking path along the water next to the hotel. There was a terrific restaurant right by the path and we'd HIGHLY recommend it to anyone staying at hotel Natura. The hotel provided a complimentary shuttle into the city which was convenient (although it is a relatively quick and easy walk from the hotel ca. 20 minutes). The breakfast brunch was delicious and staff was friendly. Overall, a nice place to stay.

ALL should know- the International Airport KEF is one hour away from Reykjavic city center! Plan on taking a shuttle bus from the airport if you are booking a hotel near the city. The shuttle cost 5,000 Icelandic Kroner for two people and 9,000 if you book the return trip at the same time.

Will be staying here again.
I traveled to Iceland to perform at a large music festival. I arrived a day early and had the day to myself. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. They were very knowledgeable about the capital city, Reykjavik, which is within walking distance of the hotel (they also have a free shuttle bus that goes right downtown until 10pm) It also sits at the foot of the hill that holds "The Pearl", a large revolving restaurant that overlooks the city. I admit, the exterior of the hotel doesn't seem like much when you first see it, but once you step inside your whole perception changes. It is very modern and clean. The rooms were very nice also. I did not get a chance to visit the pool but I imagine it is probably nice as well. Certainly a great value for the price. I will probably stay here again if I ever return, just because of how easy it made everything.

Nightlife tip:
Short walk from hotel
There is a street in downtown Reykjavik, i believe it is called "Austurstraeti" that has many fantastic bars. Many of which have live music every night. The hotel shuttle bus will drop you off about 5 minutes away from this street (maybe less) If you are out later than 10pm you cannot catch the hotel shuttle, but if you're up for a 30 min. walk, you can get back to the hotel very easily.

Good location and price, updated rooms!
My wife and I stayed at the Icelandair Hotel Reykjavik Natura (new name with remodel) during our week long trip to Iceland. We stayed in one of the remodeled rooms. The room was small, but clean and comfortable. As other reviews mentioned, the hotel is at the city airport. We had no trouble sleeping and didn't notice a lot of aircraft noise while we stayed. Curtains were heavy enough to block out the sun which set at midnight and rose at 01:30. The front desk staff were very helpful in answering questions and booking tours. The hotel runs a shuttle downtown, or you can walk to the city center if the weather is nice. We were very pleased with our stay. For the price, the hotel was a great deal.

Good location and small, nice rooms.
Walked to downtown and sights easily. Would have jogged but the weather was COLD during our stay. The buses don't seem to run on the published schedule, so you need to verify of times.

Iceland road trip 2011
It's hard to judge because the hotel was being remodeled. Rooms were comfortable, pillows flimsy, desk and dining staff great. Other staff that you met in the hallway had to be spoken to first. View of commuter airport but not noisy. Couldn't figure out the television.Close to lots of downtown shopping, eating and walking!Looking out when the snow was blowing sideways, driving to see the Aurora Borealis and floating in the Blue Lagoon...WOW !!!
