Not for a good night sleep

Stayed over for work. our hotel room was next to a railway and I did not sleep for first night. After all night of complaining, they changed the room to a new one, which was not quiet either. Although this was not probably a new problem with this room, staff was very annoed by my request to change room and the hotel did not offer any compensation for lost night of sleep. Other in our company had more quiet Rooms and were happy. So it is a game of luck with this hotel and What room you happen to get.

First Holiday

Customer Service was very, very good. Felt welcome. We had arrived 4 hours early with no sleep from the morning before. Asked if we could check in now. They said the person hadn't checked out. However, said to return at 1 o'clock. They had a luggage room so we left our bags there. We returned at 11:30am after having a few drinks to keep us awake at a local bar. They asked the cleaner to clean ours for us, we was sleeping by 12:30. There was a lounge area and restaurant which we regret not having at least one meal in, as the interior or walls & ceiling looked amazing. Room was a big. Would of liked a light in the wardrobe so I could see myself. Big draws and comfortable bed. Bathroom was big with disabled facilities which something I've not seen really in any hotels I've stayed in before. Walk in shower, which would of been fine expect it went from freezing cold to boiling hot. However, got used to this. I went to use the bathroom face mirror fell of the wall. Lucky it was in my hand Fresh towels, only if they appeared used. Pillows were swapped mid stay and the bed sheets changed & made everyday. Which was nice to come back after a day out to a clean fresh room. We wasn't told about the smashed window. They are double pain the outer one was smashed. Although mid week we notice that window of the next room had shattered. So we assumed that it's from shutting the windows. Don't shut the windows too hard ;) ... I think this is something we should of been told about. The battery died in our safe so the we called reception and they sent someone up straight away. I like to think we was just given a ruff room because it is a cosy, smart Hotel and they were very friendly. I would recommend this. The Air bus from the airport stops right round the corner it. If your one that likes of doesn't mind walking everything you want to see is in walking distance. Near to all major travel links An amazing first holiday for me and will no doubt visit Ireland again. Enjoy you visit

Our review

The hotel staff was not well-trained. We had to ask for cutlery for example. They did not have chicken although the menu contained a lot of meals which contain chicken. We gave our voucher for the breakfast and they asked for it again after 5 minutes. They definitely need some trainig. Looks like never have done this job before. Anyway the location is perfect. The room was OK. The food was also good.

Great Value

The Isaacs is in a great location. One might think that there would be much noise, being just across the street from the bus station, but there is not. I have stayed at numerous three stars in central Dublin, and this one is the best.

Center of Dublin

Located across the street from the bus station to/from the airport in the center of Dublin was really nice. Hotel had the basic arrangements and an optional breakfast for 10 Euro. Smoker friendly.

excellent location

the hotel is in the middle of dublin, putting everything within walking distance. despite the hotel being neighbors to the train station they never kept me awake at night. the only problem i had with my hotel was the bathroom- the toilet had trouble flushing and the shower wouldn't drain properly
