Very good hotel and near city center, within 30 minute walk. The staff were friendly and helpful. If we go back to Dublin, we will stay there again.

BETTER THAN WE HAD EXPECTED - THAT'S GOOD!

The hotel was every bit as good, or better than we had expected - staff were helpful and not stuffy. We would have liked to have had a little biscuit with the tea making facilities in the room and not have had to go to the bar to find something. The car parking regime was suitably relaxed and it was lovely to have a second cup of excellent coffee at breakfast time in the lovely sunny courtyard. Very good! - better than expected!

Dublin short break

After reading mixed reviews, was pleasantly surprised. Rooms were spacious, clean & comfortable. Husband had the best steak he's had in a while, cooked to his exact request & at 22 Euros, was comparable if not better value to places in the centre. Although hotel was out from centre of Dublin, we used the Dart which is just a short walk away & only cost 3 Euros for a return ticket which you can use all day. Would recommend.

Best luch deal was in the M&S rooftop restuarant. 2 courses & glass of wine for 12.50 Euros. Views up Grafton street are amazing from the outside tables.

Well cared for and friendly

Even though we arrived early our room was ready. The price we paid was a bargin for Dublin, but made the bus ride to city center a little longer. good trade off! Very clean room and well maintained. Hotel staff helped with transportation and sight seeing advise.

Good value , good location

Great location, easy access to airport coach, DART train and bus. No need to rent a car. Good restaurant and bar. Comfortable room and beds. New flat screen TVs since last visit. Lighting could be better in rooms but they are all on the save energy drive. Would be great if they had a gym , but when the weather cooperates you can have a nice run along the sea front overlooking Dublin Bay.

Close to almost nothing

A really nice hotel in a safe area, but not convenient to really anything. The AirCoach no longer stops by it. A bus does run just outside the main gates, but is only reliable after 9am and before 10pm, costs 2.15 euro one way, and takes about 15 minutes to get to downtown Dublin. If you have a car of your own, then I would absolutely recommend this hotel as it is very clean, comfortable, with friendly staff.

A great base for exploring Dublin

The hotel is located in a nice upper class area of town, only one block from the US embassy. The room was comfortable and quiet and the staff couldn't do enough for us. The city bus was at the door and for 1.15 Euros you were in town center in 15 Min. The bus from the airport doesn't stop here any more, drag your suitcases for 25 min to get to the hotel. Taxi is 24 Euros compared to the bus at 18 Euros for two from the airport, we took it back and also saved 20 min. The food at the restaurant was OK but frozen french fries with a so so main course seasoned with salt and no veg or green salad for 25 E was not worth it. Eat elsewhere for a nice dinner at a reasonable price and something more interesting. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again on our next trip to Dublin.

Quiet and Restful

The historic building and the grounds of this hotel are very beautful. It was an easy and interesting 30-45 minute walk to the downtown area of Dublin from the hotel. Local buses stop right in front of the hotel and so does an airport bus. It is a nice 15 minute walk to the beach and to the shoreline walking paths and parks. Lots of shops and stores in the area also.

Bewely Hotel, Ballsbridge, Dublin

Really easy to get to from the airport about 8 euros. Great location for tours north and south. Food excellent. Bring wash clothes + alarm clock. They have most EU electrical plugs + 110/220 AC and great web connection free. Only use Orbitz to make your res. No kidding. You will see why when you get there. Trust me. Wm. A.
