What an Awful Experience
Location was far, far, far from downtown (since when is 35-40 minutes a "short stroll"?). I believe the web site is misleading in that regard. The hotel's staff was incompetent and unfriendly, checking us into an occupied room the moment we arrived and giving us inaccurate information about the fitness facility every time we inquired. We called down to arrange for fitness center passes, but they were apparently with a manager in another building and the manager never came. We ended up paying full price rather that waste precious vacation time waiting for the hotel manager. The TV in our room had no sound. The elevator was out of order one day, the business center the next. (And of course no one would even consider helping us check in for our flight, despite the fact that the business center computers didn't work.) This hotel was the worst part of our trip and soured us on the entire city.

wifi is not free, bathroom old and needs renovation, no mini bar in the room, old type of tv and only few channels are on, no sleepers and bath robs, towels are too bloody old and smell awful. I believe we paid too much for what was offered. very disappointed.

Nice Hotel for a short time
1. Shower walls grout needs to be cleaned. They need to provide a wash cloth. 2. I could hear the people outside the hallway and upon leaving my room I heard the noise of the next room toilet. 3. Small parking lot. I did like the location; this place is central to the embassies. Close to the city center and Temple Bar or Grafton Street.

A disappointing start to our special
A disappointing start to our special hpliday to celebrate our anniversary. Reception looked clean and good as to be expected from a 4*, but room looked tired and in need of major refurbishment. Mould around bath and sink, missing/chipped tiles around toilet, poor and flaking paintwork around door architraving, burn marks on carpet, fridge missing, and stained pillow (although cases and sheets were very clean). Food was very expensive

Ballsbridge Court Hotel
Hotel was in a nice georgian area with pubs, resturants within couple blocks in any direction It was only a 1/2 hour walk to the Temple bar, Trinity church area, or to Stephens Park all through nice safe areas.( another 20 minutes to center city) Although there was a local bus nearby that you could use. Dart is only two blocks away and take it to either Howth or Dan Laoughain area on the coast on a nice sunny afternoon, well worth it. We did not spend any time at the hotel except to sleep as we were on the go so the hotel was perfect for us, quiet peaceful clean and troublefree. We arrived in the early morning and were provided our room so we could leave our suitcases, take a nap, washup before we were off and about. There was a resturant there that could be used but being in Ireland go to the Pubs to enjoy the real Ireland. This Hotel is behind the Ballsbridge Tower and is just as nice. There was a bus stop there for the airport Aircoach 45- 50 minute ride.

Good night's rest
The hotel was very nice, quiet and comfortable beds in the room. We arrived on a very early flight and was hoping to be able to get into our room but because the hotel was full we were not able to check in early. We were able to leave our luggage in a room near the main desk. The hotel is on the route of the aircoach from the airport which made it very convenient getting there. It is a walkable distance from the city centre, approx. 20-30 minutes. We felt very safe walking back and forth from the hotel. It was also convenient to the location of our rental car when we left Dublin.

A Great Experience
The hotel is in a great location, right down the street from the DART and local bus stops. As a bonus, it is just a short distance from the American Embassy. The hotel staff was very courteous and helpful and the room was well kept and comfortable. The only down side that comes to mind is that the single blanket on the bed was a bit too heavy for comfort. I should have probably asked for something a bit lighter and I'm sure that they would have accommodated me. I would and will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

Time-saving tip:
Short walk from hotel
The DART is the way to go. It is fve minutes from the hotel and will connect you with any other transportation as needed. The ticket attendants are all very helpful and the local travelers/commuters are friendly and understanding.
