Dining
- Restaurant
- The Sussex Restaurant has long been established as the first in fine-dining for both guests and local residents. Amidst an Art Nouveau Cafe Paris-type ambience, the restaurant echoes an era of times past - where smiling, friendly waiters tend to your every request - the bright, glass recesses in the walls allowing for ample natural light during the day and setting a chattering, romantic scene by night. A special Breakfast is served in the Sussex Restaurant - a vast, delicious buffet including cereals, mueslis, yoghurts, fresh fruits, meats, delicate pastries, warm breads and a variation of cooked breakfasts including a "Full Irish" with fresh coffee and a wide selection of teas. Lunch and Dinner is also served in the Sussex Restaurant from varied menus using the best of fresh, local produce - complemented by a meticulously selected wine list.
- Bar
- The low-lit expanse of this chic, contemporary bar make it a great place to enjoy a pre-dinner chilled aperitif, a zingy cocktail or a cool drink - or simply to join in on the busy chatter of guests and locals alike. A hub of friends and colleagues, Bellini's has become hugely popular since re-opening its doors as a modern progression on the legendary Buck Mulligan's Bar - despite its new interior, the conversation remains the same.

The hotel is well located, clean
The hotel is well located, clean and comfortable. The reception staff were pleasant and helpful but the bar and restaurant staff were rude and unhelpful, service was slow and the insult was compounded with every bill being presented with a request for a gratuity.

Great Hotel
I wouldn't say the hotel was in a super location, but it was good. We were only about a 15 to 20 min walk from the city center but if it's cold, windy and rainy, taking a cab to the heart of the city is well worth the 9 euro's. There is a taxi stand just outside the hotel parking lot which made it very easy to catch a cab. We were expecting small rooms and were very pleased when we found them to be a good size with plenty of room to move around and very clean. All hotel staff were extremely nice and helpful. If we make a return trip, I would not hesitate to stay here again and will recomend it to friends and family.

Not a bad place at all....
My friend and I stayed here while touring the Dublin area for 10 days. The TV stopped and starting smoking one morning, and they didn't replace it as promised, so it wouldn't work again the next day. They finally replaced the TV. They wanted us to change rooms at first, and then didn't tell us we could stay in our own room until after we'd completely packed. Then, the maid thought my friend's things were garbage, and thankfully we were able to retrieve the items. When we checked on Christmas dinner at the front desk, we were told that the price was 18 Euros, which seemed awfully reasonable. We double-checked the price. The night of the dinner, we were told it was actually 80 Euros!!! Ugh! Despite all this "adventure," we actually enjoyed our stay there. The concierge staff were always helpful, the lounge had a nice fire going each day, and the location was very decent.

Time-saving tip:
Short walk from hotel
The nearest city bus stops were right outside the hotel door and very convenient. The busses were fairly regular, and you can get passes for various days to save time/money at the main bus station on O'Connell Street. Also, the Aircoach bus from the airport will drop you off right in front of the Burlington Hotel, which is great, too.

Generally good, but would rate as a 3 star hotel. The bathroom needed renovating, mould on bath sealant, and the extractor didn't work, as in other two rooms booked at the same time.
