Dining

Restaurant
The Sussex Restaurant has long been established as the first in fine-dining for both guests and local residents. Amidst an Art Nouveau Cafe Paris-type ambience, the restaurant echoes an era of times past - where smiling, friendly waiters tend to your every request - the bright, glass recesses in the walls allowing for ample natural light during the day and setting a chattering, romantic scene by night. A special Breakfast is served in the Sussex Restaurant - a vast, delicious buffet including cereals, mueslis, yoghurts, fresh fruits, meats, delicate pastries, warm breads and a variation of cooked breakfasts including a "Full Irish" with fresh coffee and a wide selection of teas. Lunch and Dinner is also served in the Sussex Restaurant from varied menus using the best of fresh, local produce - complemented by a meticulously selected wine list.
Bar
The low-lit expanse of this chic, contemporary bar make it a great place to enjoy a pre-dinner chilled aperitif, a zingy cocktail or a cool drink - or simply to join in on the busy chatter of guests and locals alike. A hub of friends and colleagues, Bellini's has become hugely popular since re-opening its doors as a modern progression on the legendary Buck Mulligan's Bar - despite its new interior, the conversation remains the same.

Dublin /Burlington Hotel

Excellent service at the front desk- Helped with directions , tickets and other services. The location is about a 20 minute walk or $15.00 cab ride from the City Center although the bus service is close and frequent. You also can get a $10.00 fare to the airport from the hotel. Our room was very nice, especially for the price. The bars in the hotel were good and stayed open late. You need to make sure that you eat before you return to the hotel as the only pub close closes at 23.00 as does food service in the hotel. I would stay at the Burlington again as it was a very enjoyable experience.

Great location, big hotel

The Burlington is a large hotel catering both to the tourist trade and to business people. As such, it has spacious dining, drinking, lounging, and business facilities. We found our non-smoking room to be clean, quiet, and comfortable, with everything in working order. The staff was quite friendly and readily helpful. The hotel offered a free internet connection in the room, and we were also supplied with an internet cable. Our room was equipped with a 120 volt outlet for US electrical products. However the hotel did not give us an adapter for Continental to UK style plugs. There is a Dublin Bus stop right in front of the hotel, which is a great convenience. The hotel sits back a bit from the road and is located in a largely residential area, which makes for a relatively quiet atmosphere. Our room cost did not include breakfast, but we were given a discount voucher which enabled us to have the susbstantial hotel buffet breakfast for 12.75 Euros per person. We used the hotel to explore the city and surrounding area, and it proved ideal for this purpose. It would not suit someone looking to be right in the center of the city and its night life.

Great deal!

Very nice hotel. The lobby is very inviting with comfortable sofas. Skip the lobby coffee and the breakfast...you can get much cheaper and better quality irish breafast from city center. The hotel is a direct stop from the airport on the Aircoach charter bus and the retrun bus is directly across the street...convenient! The rooms were on the small side...but typical for Europe with all the necessary convenicinces. However, the mini fridge was pulled out of all the rooms years ago! The hotel is a 10 min walk to St. Stephens Green, 20 min walk to Trinity College/Tourist Info Center and 30 min walk to O'Connell St. Bridge. The city was great, the ours were fenominal (Wicklow and The Valley of the Kings). A great location for Euorpean tourinng (the city was designed for the tourist in mind!!!).

Entertainment tip: Short walk from hotel

A must do in Dublin are the Historial City Waling tour that departs at 11 and 3pm daily from Trinity College Gate, the Irish traditional music pub crawl from Gogarty's pub at 7:30pm nightly and the literary pub crawl from Duke's pub at 7:15pm nightly...all great intro to the city, people and culture

entertainment of individuals and family.

My experience was that the girls at the front desk were not accommodating, except Nimmmyth. We needed a mgr. to get the room problems solved. The ladies staffed at the desk seemed coy and sly. They acted as if this was all that could be done and you would just have to deal with it. Wherein you knew better and had to go to a manager especially the night mgr., [...]. Also, not all rooms were remodeled the same. One person would have a nice up-dated room and the other had the opposite. The front-door man was very knowledgable and helpful on getting us tickets for our tours and what we should see and do.

We were very satisfied with this

We were very satisfied with this hotel. We spent here 4nights. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Our room was on the 7th floor thats very good, but honestly I have to tell that there was one on the 2nd which was very depressing and noisy therefore we had to change it to this. This hotel is approximately 30minutes on foot from the city centre.
