Classy, Sexy and worth the money !

From the outside the g hotel Galway looks more like an office block, but the minute you walk in the front door, it's a different story.... The decor is bright modern, plush and sexy! The rooms are comfortable, clean with big flat TV screens, complimentary ...water and cupcakes in the rooms (very nice) pity no coffee/tea making facilities in the rooms though... They offer a turndown service each evening and prepare the bed, close the curtains, replace with fresh water... again a nice little touch... I only stayed one night (Saturday night) and wanted to have a treatment but unfortunately they were booked up (so I would suggest to book ahead and not be disappointed). The only time avaialble for dinner was 9.30pm (which is a little late but they were busy), so again book ahead as the restaurant is very popular, particularly at weekends. The food was superb and the service excellent, the breakfast also was fabulous with a varied choice of buffet or a la carte menu. An unforgetable 5 star experience and would love to come back and stay longer.... Expensive but worth it !

Great location, hotel and service

Great location, hotel and service. Excellent concierge, with local knowledge of the city, and area. Planned out a great itinerary to see the entire region (Ring of Kerry, Cliffs of Moher, Dingle, Killarney, Kinsale etc). All recommendations and suggestions were right on the money. Impossible to get this level of service anyplace else.

Fabolous Hotel

I loved this hotel, so quirky. I could not fault hotel amenities, the food is amazing and atmosphere is very relaxing. The only reason why I did not give it 5/5 is due to loaction, its not right in the centre of the city but not far out either. It is roughly a 10 minute walk to the centre of town. If you are looking for a lively bar it would be best to go into town and soak up Galways cultural atmosphere as the bar in the hotel is very quiet, otherwise amazing.

Young Family

The hotel is nice, pitched at couples Id say rather than families. There is a lift access for childrens prams/chairs but would take 10 mins to use it. so you lift the pushchair up the entrance stairs. I walk fairly briskly and its a 15 minute walk into town. Location is odd, to the front of a retail park? Breakfast was good, bit of confusion though between a buffet and what looks like a similar menu that is cooked fresh? Staff were generally friendly thought

very pleased

Just got back from spending 4 nights at the G hotel. Check in was quick, and the front desk was more than helpful. My friend and I are both on special diets, and the staff was very accommodating to our specific requests. My only complaint is the location. Its not in the center of town, and without a car it's a good 15-20 minute walk.

A great hotel...an OK location

The G Hotel is a modern hotel with eclectic furnishings. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is delicious. The only negative is the hotel's location which is a long walk from the "action" if one is looking for pubs and restaurants. I would definitely return despite the location.
