Confortable hotel
The palace hotel locate convinent place to everywhere at Como in Italy. The rooms are clean and everyone kindly communicate with smile. It is a little disappoint no free drinks like coffee or tea with pot in a room. However, total score is more than average.

Perfect Location, Gorgeous from the Outside, the Inside is another Story
This hotel is a pebbles throw from the Lake. It is a great location as it is right next to one of Como's train stations. It is a short walk to shopping and the Duomo. However, the actual room was disappointing. Since the options available allow you to get a standard room with no lakeview, we ended up with a room that faced a busy alley and the garbage cans. We couldn't open one of our windows since the smell of dirty garbage would have engulfed our whole room. And since we couldn't control the temperature in the room, we were constantly opening and closing the windows. The room itself was spacious compared to most european rooms, but I don't think it had been updated for 40 years and it smelled it. The bed was very firm and not plush like most nice hotel beds. The linens were not soft as well so getting a good nights sleep was not in the picture. It was nice that the breakfast was included but was nothing special. One of the girls that worked the front desk was wonderful and extremely helpful while some of the other employees were lacking. Overall, the location was ideal, but the room itself was not one of a 4 star hotel.

Excellent location, great old charm hotel...
Rooms are old, but comfortable. Bathroom clean, but if you love modern bathrooms, this is not your place. No central air, unit is in the room, lucky me, weather was cool I did not have turn it on. Breakfast was good, Location is good, walk to all the shopping, literally across the street from lake and boats... Hotel provides paid parking!

Our second visit to Lago De Como
Our second visit to Lago De Como and the second for this excellent hotel. Stayed in the older part of the hotel this time and the room was enormous & well appointed. Breakfast in the 'Ballroom' was as good as you can get and more than ample. The onsite, paid parking was welcome & not too expensive.

Arrived in rush-hour, so was a bit tortuous to find and enter the entrance ~ blame the sat nav more than the hotel. Used the secure underground parking - very good and more resonably priced than previous in Milano! Very clean, efficient and aimed at professional market - we were just overnighters passing through so too good for our needs; but perfect all the same.
