great location
We had a great time at this hotel. We got a room with the view of the square and it was within walking distance from all the major tourist sites we wanted to check out. It was also within walking distance from all kinds of eateries and market places. We found delicious gelato right around the corner and two fantastic trattorias less than 10 min walk away. The hotel staff was helpful and the view from the roof top was fantastic. The room, facility, and amenities do show their age. But everything is kept clean.

A Room with a View (of the Duomo)
We loved our stay at this hotel. It is centrally located, very nice spotless room which we were able to upgrade for a room right on the square with a view of the Duomo for only 30 Euros extra. We were centrally located and able to walk everywhere. Our pleasant hotel room was a good place to hang out when tired.

Short walk from hotel
We had planned to leave from the Rome airport on a noon flight and were able to spend our last night in Florence, walk around the corner to get a 8:00 am train to Rome termini station and then get a cab to the airport to arrive in plenty of time for the flight. This allowed us to avoid the not so great area around Fiumicino airport (read the reviews and decide for yourself.)

Great hotel in the heart of the city
Very nice hotel located behind Cathedral SMN near the train station. Despite the busy area, the hotel was tranquil and sheltered from the city noise. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Very close walk to the Duomo (5-10min) and Uffizi (10-15min).

Good Stay in Florence
The hotel was nice and the staff was very helpful. A bit noisy being right on the piazza. Breakfast was pretty good.

The hotel faces a Piazza that is torn up. Dirt and noise abound in the area. Approximately 100 immigrants are sitting in the street and lined up in the only walkway near the hotel.It felt dangerous. The room for $300+ was tiny.

-sehr freundlicher Empfang -Personal auffallend freundlich -grosse, helle Zimmer, bequeme Betten -grosszügiges Frühstücksbuffet Ideale Lage: 8 Min. vom Bahnhof entfernt an einer ruhigen, verkehrsfreien Piazza gelegen. Kein Nachtlärm! Alles Sehenswerte zu Fuss erreichbar.

Un bon hôtel, équivalent 3* France
L'emplacement est idéal, juste à la frontière de la zone ultra-touristique. Eviter les chambres x06 et x08 juste au dessus des ambulances... Le bar du RDC n'est pas très comfortable et le restaurant est très cher mais le buffet du petit-déjeuner est très complet. La chambre était propre, la literie et le linge changé quotidiennement mais le lit double était en fait un matelas double sur deux sommiers individuels !
