Thanksgiving in Rome

We enjoyed our stay! The location was great and the room was fine for the price we paid. Rooms were cleaned every day. It was small, but plenty of space for two. It was a great place to fall into bed after a long day of sight seeing.

Personal Adventure

It was quite good for the money. If you can get over the tacky decorations all over the palce and prepare yourself for the fact that it is indeed a 3 star accomodation then you will be fine. I personally did not have any complaints about the accomodations nor the staff. It is very difficult to find given that it literally is a door between two restaurants that is hard to see. It is perfect for a few nights if you do not expect to remain in the hotel other than to take a shower and go to sleep. Hot water and nice AC did the trick for me. Quite satisfied.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

One good thing about the hotel is that 3 buss routes are right accross the street. These 3 busses, (H, 40 and 64; subject to change) take you right to Termini station where you can get to the metro and all over Rome.

Stay away

If you like the feeling of being ripped off then go right ahead and book a room here. If not, do yourself a favor and stay at any of the other half dozen hotels in the same couple blocks. Pros: - Location is good. Walking distance to most tourist attractions. Cons: - The rooms look nothing like the pictures on the website (except maybe for the two suites as another reviewer pointed out), and are in bad need of repair. Rooms 202, 302, 402 look like they were converted from a hallway. All the rooms starting with 5 (502, 503, etc) except for the two suites on the top floor look even worse than the others. They have heavily stained carpets and very strange layouts to accommodate the layout of the suites. - The A/C in room 502 is broken (probably other rooms too). When we complained about it, the girl at the front desk was very rude, but after enough nagging moved us to a different room. There were no visible efforts to fix the A/C before giving the room to other unsuspecting travelers. - The A/C for room 402 is controlled by a thermostat outside the room. The staff kept turning it off in the middle of the night when it was around 30 Celsius outside, making the room unbearably stuffy (there was no other way to get good airflow except for the A/C vent). - WiFi is a joke. It's only available in a certain corner of the 2nd floor (you'll know by the crowd huddled over their smart phones) and it's not a good connection. - Breakfast is 5€ and consists of some bread and juices. For 3€ more, you can walk two blocks and get a nice pizza.

vacacions with my wife an another couple

Excelent location, intresting decoration in the comun places. The room was not so good, to small bathroom and only a window in the celin, at least on our room. The people that work on the hotel was not very nice. Finally I think that if you want to be setle in a fantastic place to achive all the places by foot, the hotel is good for the price, but you need to know that is not a hotel to have a romantic getaway.

Quick Trip

The hotel and room was very small and the lobby looked nothing like the picture. However, if you are only using the room to sleep it is perfect! The hotel is located right in the middle of tons of monuments in Rome and I would definitely recommend it to others. Breakfast was $5 euros for a very small selection of food so we skipped eating at the hotel.

Staff are unprofessional

The hotel is located five minutes from most of the historical monuments of Rome from 2000 years ago. That is all I can say. The room was very small and had the most unusual bathroom with a sit down shower with no curtain. The biggest problem is the fact that the room was prepaid through [...]for three nights, but when I checked out, they charges me another $338.80. Since our return on 10/5/10, I have called [...] three times and [...] has contacted the hotel three times asking for the refund of $338.80. They responded by promising the refund, but as of 10/29/10, there has been no refund. The hotel is very unprofessionally managed.

disappointing

The Hotel is in a very central located, but the rooms were very disappointing in size and decor. The hotel is not for light sleepers with constant noise from outside throughout the night. We had booked 3 nights and the first room assigned didn't have a proper shower and we needed to ask to be moved. The new room was an improvement but the carpets could do with a real cleaning. This hotel has the feel of a hostel and probably suit someone who likes that.
