The hotel is also a cosy and familiar place: its rooms and lounges have been frequented by prominent celebrities of bygone days.
Elegant rooms with personalized furniture and all possible comforts in a cosy environment richly appointed with wood and iron furnishings.These decorative elements, combined with the hand-painted ceramic tiles, re-create an elegant atmosphere of artistic-cultural treasures that allow guests to travel back in time and experience millenniums of history.

Hotel Roma is in a beautiful part of town, adjoining the Cathedral, which is a converted Greek temple. We were able to eat our breakfast in the square alongside it as the weather was still warm in the second week in October. If we had our time over again, we would take the small Ortygia bus to the bus station and walk from there to the Archeological Park, as some of the other buses are unreliable.

Beautiful Ortigia!
Staff was friendly, helpful and very accommodating. The breakfast buffet was splendid and the pastry shop across the street was superb! The single bed room was comfortable and the balcony and fresh air is divine. The location to the square and shops are just perfect. I fell in love with Ortigia when I visited for a wedding last March 2011 and plan to go back every year in March beginning 2012.

The restaurants around the square are very affordable and beautiful to sit with a coffee and gelato.

Love Siracusa
Perfect location in the historic center
Staff was nice and helpful. For those visiting the historic center (Ortigia Island) the location is best (back to back with the Duomo) but on a relatively noisy street. I took a single room had a twin bed and balcony to the main street. During crowded times it may be quite noisy. The hotel has a nice patio and a full sauna. Overall I strongly recommend it.
