- It is ideally located in haven of woodland and ancient trees amongst a variety of flowers, overlooking the splendid Gulf of Naples, out from the noise of Sorrento (6 km, shuttle bus service from May to October, public bus in front of the hotel) but near the small village of San'Agata sui due 2 Golfi , reachable throught a private path of the hotel (10 minutes walking).

great place to stay
we got a killer deal on this super room by travelling before the high season kicks in on Apr 1. awesome views over bay of naples. far from sorrento but bus connections were OK and the nearby town of St. Agata was great and just a 5 min walk away. very good breakfast. super value and great comfort.

Grand Hotel Hermitage Experience
Most of our hotel experiences in Italy were typically disappointing in room size and staff friendliness, but at the Grand Hermitage we had a surprisingly comfortable room and the staff was incredibly helpful. It wasn't even close to the most expensive place we stayed at, but it was certainly the most luxurious and courteous.

Plan your transportation needs to get here. These hotels require quite a bit of planning. The local train to Sorrento was not a pleasant experience. It broke down and left us in the sun to wait for the next already crowded train. Then a bus was necessary to get to the hotel and that was another adventure.

Good for all ages
It was a very good place to stay the 2 nights that we stayed there. The people in the hotel were very helpful in helping us arrange our plans and travels to Capri and the center of Sorrento. They were able to provide plenty of information and services about getting around. The shuttle they have is very convenient, however you do have to book the shuttle in advance. The only thing was that it was somewhat far from the center of Sorrento, so getting there was a small hassle, although the shuttle is available when not booked, or there are public buses. While the location was somewhat far, the view was great. The included breakfast was also great. The rooms were a very nice size and clean, and I would definitely recommend it.

Great hotel for all ages
We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and went to Capri for the day. The hotel is outside of the center of Sorrento and you had to reserve spots on the hotel shuttle. There is a public us stop right next to the hotel that costs 2,40 euro each way. The rooms were clean and spacious with amazing views. The breakfast was great too. There are lots of bugs in Sorrento so bring bug spray.

La chambre donnait côté colline.
La chambre donnait côté colline. Très spacieuse avec pièce supplémentaire et terrasse privative. Jolie décoration. Hôtel très bien tenu et personnel accueillant et efficace (réservations d'excursions). Piscine bien exposée. Petit déjeuner buffet qui laisse l'embarras du choix. Bon restaurant. L'hôtel est en hauteur assez loin de Sorrente. Avantage, le calme; inconvénient, il faut jongler avec les horaires de bus quand on n'a pas de voiture.
