Agli Artisti Hotel Venice

I spent there nice three days with my teenage daughter. The only one big disadvantage is no lift!

Hotel was very basic. Room sparse but clean. Breakfast was broing and plain. No fruit supplied or eggs supplied which is normally a staple of Italian breakfasts that we have experienced at other hotels. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Great location, could not be faulted. A few tweaks but would still recommend for those on a budget because Venice can be very expensive!

It´s located near the S.L. train station and that was an advantage for us. It doesn't have lift, so it was hard to get to the 4th floor with the louggage.

I enjoyed my time in Venice. Didn't spend much time in the hotel, but the room was clean and well ventilated (a big plus in the summer). Would have enjoyed complimentary WiFi and some warm breakfast, although the chocolate croissant pastries were quite yummy.

Good place to stay and really close to the train station. More expensive than it was probably worth but a good place.

No air conditioning. Small beds with a community shower and toilets. Perfect for a college student not tryin to spend any money.

My only complaint was the hardness of the bed and the mosquitos in the room. You are probably likely to encounter mosquitos in hotel rooms anywhere though because screens on the windows just aren't common. It is extremely close to the train station and the bus station so that made transport cheap and easy. We had shared bathrooms on the 3rd floor, which is actually up 4 flights of stairs (floor 1 starts after the ground floor). There were 5 full bathrooms in the hallway and they were wonderful. Each was like a private full bathroom and had showers and were very clean. They gave us towels and there were glasses in the room. There was a safe which you got a key for with a 20 euro deposit that is fully refunded when you leave. I was very happy with this hotel and highly recommend it as one of the cheapest options I can find and that you can trust to be safe and clean. It was far better than I even expected. On arrival we were given a room on the 2nd floor. When we asked if it had its own bathroom we were told no it did not(despite requesting this at time of booking). After some discussion with the man at the front desk he informed us that we could change to a room with its own bathroom but at a cost. When we got to this room we were not happy, it was not as described on the website and there was some major renovations going on upstairs. We decided to turn down the room and returned to the front desk where we were told we would need to wait to see the manager in an hour. On our return an hour later the manager was super helpful, he told us there had been a mix up and that we should not have been given the first room. The room he then gave us on the ground level was very nice. The rest of our stay was very good.

Plus: A nice friendly, well located hotel. Large clean well heated room. Negative: No lift, I was given a room on the 4 floor...75 steps four times a day...breakfast and dayout. Restricted space on the toilet. Small telly. No free internet (have to pay)...Slow upload speed. Overall: I would go there again.

very convenient location 20 min walk from center. Would recommend.
