Close to Narita Station. Staff
Close to Narita Station. Staff were helpful, room was a little small, but comfortable enough for one night stay.

Perfect!
I enjoyed my stay at the Mercure Narita. The main goal of our trip was to visit Tokyo. We stayed in Narita and took trains to Tokyo. Narita was a very nice little town, there were plenty of places to eat and drink and see. The Mercure was located in the heart of the city, very close to two train stations, the JR and the Keisei. The hotel was very clean and had all the necessities. The location was perfect, and you could absolutely not beat the price. I will be back! All the way from Ohio :)

Short walk from hotel
Take the Keisei line into Tokyo, it was cheaper and the ride is not that much longer. The people at the stations were extremely helpful as I speak no Japanese.

Great Vacation!
The hotel was clean and comfortable. The carpets are reasonably clean which was a pleasant surprise. Usually Asian hotels neglect their carpeting. During my one week stay the armchair was replaced because the old one was beginning to look worn. The location is very convenient. It is a very short walk to the train station. I recommend that you buy a rail pass if you wish to more cities in Japan. The bus stop is an even shorter walk. A pink bus will take you to the Aeon shopping mall for only 200 Japanese Yen. (a little more than 2 USD)The hotel staff speak English well enough to answer most of your questions. The Japanese people are polite and considerate. They are typically shy but are happy to help if you approach them. The men and women dress well. [*] Many of the women possess jaw-dropping beauty.I will return to Japan and the Mercure hotel in the future. It is a good hotel at a great price.I felt a sadness as I left Japan. It seemed like I was leaving home. Soon I will return.

The hotel is near to the Narita
The hotel is near to the Narita Keisei station which is convenient for us to go to the airport for morning flights. The hotel is also located about 15-20 minutes walk to the Naritasan temple. It is a simple and clean hotel suitable for travellers to stay a night before boarding morning flights. The room is spacious comparing to other hotels in Japan.

Hotel Mercure
The Hotel Mercure is a good hotel for the price. The rooms were clean and the bed comfortable although the hotel is a bit dated. It is located in the center of town, walking distance to the Temple, good restaurants and shopping among small shops. A bus ride to a large mall. Easy area to get around and fairly close to the airport and they provide shuttle service.

Convenient and Pleasant Mercure
I checked in late at night. They had a non-smoking room waiting for me -- not always possible in Japan. The room was clean and comfortable. The windows open, which is nice -- and rare. Bathroom is standard mini western style. Everything you'd need is there. The hotel is across from Narita station, one stop from the airport station and easy to access with bags. I left one behind and they stored it for free. Lots of amenities around the area, including a 7/11 with an international ATM. That's important because there aren't so many in Japan. It's not my first stay at Mercure Narita. I'll continue to stay anytime I land late at the airport or have to leave early.

Short walk from hotel
If you don't withdraw money at an airport ATM, get it at 7/11 down the street. Exchanging at banks isn't so easy and hotels give you rotten rates.

Not a great choice
To travel from downtown Tokyo to Narita is a journey unto itself. If you have a morning flight from Narita, you either rise before the sun and take the Narita Express or pay $300 for a taxi, or stay near the airport the evening before departure as we did. That said, the location near the Narita train station stop (which is before the airport) is good, but the area is dicey at night -- we arrived at 9pm with little open in terms of food. This hotel can only be described as "fair" -- it's clean and served its purpose -- next time I would still stay close to the airport the night before but might opt for the Hilton or Holiday Inn/Crown Plaza which are both in Narita and closer to the airport. There is a free shuttle to the airport from this hotel that is probably its only good selling point (along with the fact it is 2 blocks walk from the Narita train station upon arrival). Otherwise, it's along the lines of a Days Inn in the US. The breakfast at $25 a person is vastly overpriced and should be avoided.

take Narita Express to Narita Station stop instead of airport stops, you might save some ticket price cost this way as you are not going all the way to the airport if you stay overnight in Narita

Clean, functional. Have to admit that the utilitarian bathroom was an aesthetic let down after staying in Ginza, but you can't the location.

Overall experience with Mercure
Overall experience with Mercure Hotel Narita is very good. It is just 2 min away from Keisei train station and most internal routing bus stop there. There is alot of eateries along the alley... Very good location and clean, neat and newly furbish hotel. Very friendly services from the hotel staff too. Only point to note, the shutter bus to airport is rather small.
