Japan 2010 Trip

First impression...SUGOI! (awesome) The hotel staff was very friendly, spoke English well, and always helpful. The rooms were very nice and clean. We had a beautiful view of Ikebukuro-Tokyo. The location is just a few blocks away from the Main JR train station which was very convenient. It is also in a business district so there are a lot of great restaurants and bars near by. The area is not too crowded so you dont feel "rushed" like some other towns in Tokyo.If you plan on traveling around Japan, this is the hotel to stay at!

Plan your trip in advance, get some maps for the local areas you travel. If its applicable, get the unlimited JR Rail Pass at your local Travel agent. Its about 28000 Yen (about $300 USD) but totally worth it. Especially if you ride the Shinkansen (bullet train) to various locations outside Tokyo. The pass allows unlimited train rides for the duration of the pass. For example one way on the Shinkansen from Tokyo to Kyoto was approx 13500 yen. So you can do the math. Me and my fiance' got it and it was totally worth every cent!!!

Great service - really amazing.

Good size room for 3 people but

Good size room for 3 people but a single bed would have been better than a sofa bed. Our son is 14 and adult sized! Great location, easy walking distance from station. Very helpful staff.

Where's the transportation!

[...] When I made my reservation, I was to told to call the hotel for transportation when I reach the airport. However, I had difficulty calling them. This was a scary situation. Thankfully, they had a good transportation service to the hotels.

One of the largest shopping is near the Hotel. The bottom floor of the hotel is a food court, where you can buy inexpensive food.

Wonderful Hotel!!! i stayed for

Wonderful Hotel!!! i stayed for 3 nights b4 heading to Narita for another 2 nights. This hotel location at Ikebukuro is perfect as the train station is within few mins walk. Shopping ctr is near and lot of resturant within stone throwing distance. In addition, Sunshine city is located on the Eastern side and is a MUST to visit (my humble suggestion) if u are first time to Tokyo - Japan. Overall, the experience for my family F & E trip in Tokyo was Great. Cheers!!!

The room was small which is typical in Tokyo how ever it located across the road to the train station which is on the yamonite loop which is a plus the rooms were services well

Excellent service and spotless room

Excellent location, fantastic city view

We got a room on the 23rd floor, the view was fantastic. Imagine you stand in front of the window overlooking Tokyo city lights, super. The room was small. We had a double bed with one side close to the wall, the one slept on this side had to crawl into it. Location is great. Restaurants, shopping centre, supermarket, subway station are all closed by. Hotel staff are very polite and helpful.
