Relaxing Los Cabos beach resort boasts breathtaking views, spa services
Casa Dorada Los Cabos mesmerizes guests with beachfront rooms, suites and penthouses, and a lengthy list of leisure activities. Extended-stay travelers appreciate luxuries like in-room dining tables and stainless steel kitchens, while two pools, supervised activities for children and a full-service spa are staples that everyone can enjoy. Come mealtime, visitors flock to seafood favorite 12 Tribes or Maydan, an oceanfront beach club.
Highlights
  • Luxury Los Cabos hotel with ocean-view rooms, suites and penthouses
  • Suites and penthouses equipped with kitchens and dining tables
  • High-end spa
  • Precor-equipped fitness center

Rooms
Sleek lines and handsome furniture bring contemporary flair to rooms at Casa Dorada Los Cabos. Espresso-colored media cabinets, headboards and nightstands pair well with fine bedding in subtle beige and white, while tropical fish-themed artwork adds a bright pop above beds. Lavish suites and penthouses spoil with extra space for cooking and dining, from gourmet granite- and stainless-steel-equipped kitchens to roomy dining tables. Jacuzzis and expansive oceanfront terraces top off the luxury.
Dining
Casa Dorada Los Cabos pours on the ambiance at its lounge and three restaurants. From 12 Tribes, a seaside boite specializing in fresh seafood, diners soak up ocean views and sunsets. The eatery also holds prestige as being one of just two Mexican restaurants featured in the global restaurant guide of Black Ink -- Centurion's members-only publication. Maydan, the oceanfront beach club, captivates with live music, open-air and indoor dining, and catches brought directly from Medano Beach.
Recreation
Guests at Casa Dorada Los Cabos set their own pace for leisure activities, whether it is unwinding in the two pools at the swim-up bars or enjoying spa treatments for couples in private cabanas. The resort staves off boredom for kids with an activity room and family-friendly distractions like fishing and snorkeling. Saltwater Spa, a haven for massages, facials and body treatments, is the perfect pit stop after an invigorating workout on Precor equipment in the fitness center.

Great Hotel!

The Casa Dorada Hotel was beautiful. It's right in the middle of everything. Mango Deck is right in front of the hotel. The marina is a couple blocks away and downtown (nightlife) is within walking distance also. Service was great from the beginning of my stay to the end. Everybody from the bell boys to the concierge were very kind and corteous. Concierge helped arrange all the activities we wanted to do at Cabo. Room is very clean, bed comfortable, beautiful terrace with beach front view. Room service food was good and affordable. I definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again. Time shares are available for this hotel also.

Great Honeymoon Spot

If you are looking for a place to stay in Cabo, this is the best location that you could ask for. It is right on the beach and almost adjacent to the Marina. The room was beautiful - they all have an ocean view, and everything in Cabo worth seeing is easily accessible. The staff was very friendly and would bend over backwards to accomodate us. The rooms are beautiful with warm, neutral colors. My only complaint is that we did receive a great deal of pressure to go to a timeshare breakfast. They are selling all of the units in the hotel as timeshares. We were new to the timeshare concept and the whole process involved. We reluctantly agreed to attend after being asked 4 or 5 times if we had gone by hotel staff. She insisted that it would take only 75 minutes, but in actuality it took about 2 1/2 hours, and we received heavy sales pressure - we were turned 3 times, even after we insisted that we were not even remotely interested. My advice to anyone considering Casa Dorada is that it's a fabulous place to go - just try to avoid the breakfast if you're not seriously considering a timeshare there.

BEAUTIFUL RESORT GREAT LOCATION

WE LOVED CASA DORADA! THE HOTEL ITSELF WAS BEAUTIFUL FROM THE LOBBY TO THE ROOM. THE STAFF WAS GREAT ALL AROUND AND ALWAYS HAPPY TO HELP. LOCATED A FEW STEPS FROM THE BEACH, YOU CAN ALSO WALK TO THE MARINA AND DO SOME SHOPPING EVEN IF YOU'VE HAD A FEW DRINKS!!! I WAS REALLY PLEASED WITH MY STAY THERE. I TOOK MY SEVEN YEAR OLD SON AND HE LOVED IT AS WELL. HE EVEN GOT A MASSAGE BY THE POOL! NOT VERY MANY KIDS THERE BUT THERE WERE A FEW. CLEAN BEAUTIFUL FACILITY. GO THERE-I'D DO IT AGAIN IN A HEARTBEAT.

Location location

This is a wonderful new beach resort in downtown Cabo San Lucas. Two pools, wonderful view of Land's End and right on the beach. It is turning into a time-share only resort (or so they said), we actually bought a place the first day we where there. The staff is great, they knew my son's name by the second day and where so friendly. They do need some more kid friendly food at lunch and dinner, but the food they do serve is good.

There is a new company Baja Bora Jeep Adventures right down the street from the hotel, it is a lot more fun than ATVing, and much cleaner and cooler (AC in the jeeps!)

Great Hotel - Good Experience Overall

Casa Dorada was a beautiful hotel. The location is great. Steps from Medano Beach and several restaurants. The staff were very friendly. The rooms were spotless and ranked it the top 5 I've ever stayed. We had a kitchenette, jacuzzi, seperate room with couch, tv, etc. Only one restaurant, we had there breakfast buffet. It was good, but not great. I would recommend this hotel and I would return.

Perfect Hotel!

Our entire family loved Casa Dorada. The location, style and beauty of the resort is impossible to beat. Our teenage son enjoyed the relaxed pace and all guests seemed to be having a great time, while quietly respecting each others space. I can see why people purchase time shares here. Casa Dorada is beautiful. Loved the fact great restaurants are on the beach, steps from the hotel. Watch happy hour at Mangos. Order one drink and two come your way. Great time and the views are spectacular. Our friends are traveling to Cabo this month and we have recommend Dorada or Playa Grande. Both resorts are outstanding and we can not wait to go back.Note - Timeshares are huge here and cabs will cost you $60 one way if you have not booked ahead. I'll need to look into ground transportation from airport to hotel in the future, however once at either resort you can then walk everywhere. Smiles and Happy Travels.

the suite and location were great

The hotel was beautiful and very well maintained. Someone was constantly trying to see to your needs.  We spent most of the time around the pool, but the beach was nice.  The only annoying thing about the location was all the people trying to sell you stuff on the beach.  You couldn't walk ten feet (literally) without someone approaching you to eat in a restaurnat, buy a drink, buy jewelry, shirts, you name it.  They would just follow you around. I never saw anyone buy anything, but they wouldn't be there if they never sold their wares. There are plenty of places nearby to eat and the food at the pool was great. They were having two for one drinks everyday we were there around the pool. There were not many people in Cabo because of the swine flu scare, so we probably didn't get a true sense of what the town is like.
