Honeymoon vacation
We enjoyed our stay at Dreams Cancun. The staff was great and they are so helpful and attentive. They have 5 different restaurants so you can try something different every day because it can get old eating the same thing every day. They have entertainment for both children and adults in the hotel so you don't have to get out of the hotel to have fun...but if you are wanting to live "La Vida Loca" you can go to the nearby clubs such as Coco Bongo. Overall pretty good hotel for the price but lets take in consideration that this is a resort city and you will not see the "typical Mexico" in Cancun and you will have to get out of Cancun in order to enjoy some culture. ***Be aware of timeshares because they will try to sell them to you at the airport, hotel or in the street.

Chichen Itza, Tulum and Coba and Isla Mujeres are trips you must miss. Also, don't forget anything in the bus/vans that take you to the trips because you will not recover it. If you want to save money do not buy the trips in the hotel as you can buy them in the street for less money but also less quality....Hotel=more money & best quality; Street=less money & less quality.

Showing its age ,basic room, small,no bathtub , upgraded to honeymoon suite,brown water,did not take a bath, baby was crying at 6:00 a.m. in next room, staff apolgized and provided us a room in the tower ,much nicer ,left the next morning. Staff was very good .

fabulous staff
fantastic staff starting at the bellman who take care of you and your luggage, bartenders remembering your favorite drinks and all which are too numerous to mention. the most special of all are the entertainment staff. you really do not have to go anywhere because things you can do at the hotel are so many you can not do them all but it is fun to try. the location is walking distances to the clubs and shopping. the shows and retaurants at the hotel are a wide variety. the spa can not be beat. i could write a novel about how great this vacation was. love love love dreams!!!!

Short drive from hotel
they have a market night at the hotel and bring the shopping to you. feeling adventurous. market 28 a little less than a dollar bus ride will get you to the walmart you walk about a block back to an open market where the best deals can be found on leather, silver, hammocks, local crafts etc. and like to haggle/negotiate. set your mind on the price you are willing to pay and meet them in the middle. its fun by the way they are all related...LOL

Pretty decent place!
Has some areas that need to be tended too maintenance-wise. Staff, for the most part, were attentive. The only real exception was around the waiter staff, which could be slow to intuit your needs (i.e. refill your drink could take a while). Location is really good if you are single or a couple. If you are a family then just be mindful that when you leave the resort on foot that, while very safe, this is the nightlife district within a few hundred yards so it isn't exactly kid appropriate (i.e. dancers, some scantily dressed, are dancing on bar tops by the street side after dark), Other than that...the value for what you get is really good. I was told that the place was a 5-star resort but I find that a bit hard to believe. I think 4 is more in-line though.

Flea Market is within a 5 minute walk (few hundred yards). You will be absolutely bombarded with people trying to get your attention. So if you don't like that...either don't go or learn to have thick skin and ignore all their plea's (i.e. now it's my turn to show you my store, almost free, come in...you can look for free, this way gringo). IT IS CONSTANT. Also, do not touch anything that you don't want them to rush to pick up for you and IMMEDIATELY begin haggling on price for. This entire hard sale approach is rampant all over Cancun. It's interesting too see but honestly, you can manage through all of this with just a little bit of thick skin and have a great time! The beaches are beautiful. And though I didn't do any excursions this time...I know first hand that Isla Mujeres, Xcarat and Chichen Itza are beautiful if you can swing the cost.

Wonderful Romantic Vacation
This was an awesome place! The location is beautiful. Beach and ocean on both sides of the hotel. We loved seeing the dolphins everyday. They are so playful and the swim with the dolphins is a must! What an experience! The spa was fantastic and it is a very relaxing atompshere. Everyone was friendly and service was great. Very helpful! We will be back!!

A happy customer
We were taken care from the first moment we arrived . the place was beautiful and very clean . We had a ball did what we wanted and there were a lot of shows and activities , we chose to relax . We stayed at the tower with a breath taking view and quiet . Food everywhere and all the time . Tv' 's need updating we did not miss it any way . The best of all the employees so polite and attended to every need we had . It was a dream vacation .

Great family vacation
Location, staff and foods are great. Entertainment is not that good. The fire show at the hotel was too loud and smell terrible. Lots of the audience with kids had to leave. Other that than, we enjoyed our vacation here.

Honeymoon
Dreams Cancun is the best bang for your buck. We loved it's prime location and from the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out the staff was nothing short of excellent. The restaurant selections were fabulous and the food choices exceeded our expectations. The view outside our room was breath taking and having the dolphin tank outside our room made it more exciting. Thank you Dreams for making our honeymoon perfect and we hope to see you soon!
