Upon walking into Fiesta American Puerto Vallarta, guests are greeted by an open-air palapa and waterfall, both features that sum up the feeling at the resort. Fussy customers
Excellent location, clean & comfortable
Great location close to Marina and downtown Malecon, old town/Romantica district (easy bus ride or $6 taxi). Not too crowded over spring break. All rooms have great views - but you need to be at least 4th floor to see ocean well. Food was very good and reasonably priced. Tap water in P.V. very safe now. Only negatives - no extractor fans in bathrooms, no hot tub at hotel, and constant interruption by beach vendors (but no time-share sales evident at hotel). I would recommend this hotel highly for excellent value and service.

wedding in mexico
used the beach/pool area alot.attended a wedding & did alot of shopping. at hotel internet & resturants pricey, no ice in room/hotel unless ask & pay a tip, charged for coffee in room very friendly & rooms keep very clean

Very good location and price
Very good hotel and great location. The only complaint that I had was that the service seemed to be a little lacking. When we first checked in, there was no room service menu in our room and the room safe was locked, the bell hop told us he would send someone to open the safe and provide a menu. That never happened. The room also did not have any type of alarm clock so I asked for one at the front desk and although they said they would send one to the room, it never arrived. Overall it was a great hotel that was very clean and with the exception a a few broken tiles around the pool the hotel seemed to be very well maintained.

A great place to take a baby!
The staff was wonderful with our one year old and they were very attentive. Everyone was so sweet to him. They had a crib for the room all ready and waiting. They had high chairs at all the restaurants. The pool and beach were very nice to relax and drink margaritas. The pool was 82 degrees and perfect. The breakfast buffet was amazing...loved all the fresh fruit especially. Yes, you pay a little extra for the nice amenities, but sometimes that is just what you need.

Right infront of hotel, restaurant: La Leche execellent. They prepare some of the most flavorful dishes I have tested. Slightly pricier than the hotel restaurants but fully worth.

Falling slowly year by year
From three restsurants being open a few years ago. to only having one selection per evening and the quality of food has become less appitizing. Our room was very seldom cleaned by 3 o'clock. the lobby bar used to offer 2 for 1 of any drink for happy hour, but now, it's 2 for 1 only one night it's Corona beer, the next night it's margarittas. That;s the choice. Less people every year and most go out to dinner elsewhere

Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta NICE
Very nice hotel, lovely staff, our 2nd time to stay at this hotel. Nearly all rooms have an ocean and pool view - probably all. Hear the ocean - sit on the balcony. 9th floor (Fiesta Club) offers a light continental breakfast and evening snacks. About $5 for a taxi into downtown PV. Laundromat and small grocery store in the next building - nice when traveling with kids. Nice pool, beautiful beach. Great food. Reasonable room service and dinner prices. We will go back again. No shortage of staff, always someone to help. We went on the whale watching tour which was awesome.

Beware that the coffee packets at the in-room coffee pot are not free. We used them twice and found out at check-out that we had to pay for them. There was no sign indicating they came at a cost. The water bottle next to it had a price attached. Not a huge price to pay and not a deal breaker for us - we loved the hotel and the people, but an aggravation when you are not aware.

[...] the hotel and town were very nice. Recommend staying on the upper floors as the view is better. Lower rooms can not see past the palm trees as well. Would visit again.
